Tall and muscular, he had addressed Mia first: "So, Mia, tell us...what makes you think you really have anything in you to attend the Silvermist Academy?" said the werewolf leader.
Mia inhaled deeply and launched into a tirade about magic, how she had wanted to learn magic, and how she would have been able to prove herself. The heads of factions listened to her, whether enraptured or not; whether Mia was clear about this was anybody's guess. But when she finished, the atmosphere felt entirely changed.
With emerald-green eyes flashed, the leader of vampires was leaning in, staring intently over at Mia. "Mia, please. We do feel something about you...an unusual presence. An answer to that question that really distinguishes you from all the other persons applying."
Was Mia aware of the horrific implications, she would have been unable to use her voice-softly exclaiming, "Wh-what do you mean?"
Slowly, the shadows near moved towards dragging her into that chamber. "To put it on record, you see, Mia...we do believe that you have the special...quality. A quality which may, in fact, turn out to change our game around in the magical world."
As her confusion sank in, Mia grew more bewildered: "What quality? I'm not understanding."
A glance went back and forth between the leaders, filled with meaning, before the werewolf took a deep breath and began again. "Mia, you are an alpha. You are a leader. And we believe you have the potential to unite the warring magical factions and bring peace to our world."
Thus, expression endorsed the statement while Mia stood there with her mouth wide open. "But...but I'm not even magical," she stammered.
The vampire leader smiled. "Ah, but that's where you're wrong, Mia. You see... we believe that you possess magic that has lain dormant in you for some time now. Magic that is, perhaps, on the verge of expressing itself."
What the leaders said surged through Mia with energy. It felt like every other cell in her body was returning to this world with some unknown power rekindling some of lost memories.
Beautiful beast leader went on to say: "We have long been looking for such a person as you; a person to restore balance in our world."
The brilliant eyes never stopped looking at Mia, slightly nodding. "Yes, Mia, you may prove to be a great leader. But beware: some would consider it worth it to keep you from fulfilling your destiny."
It was tough on Mia to digest, that the heads of the factions were still talking. The magical warfare was the last thing she intended for herself.
Out of nowhere, just at the end of the interview, the one mysterious figure who had brought Mia into the chamber stepped forward again. "But before that, know, Mia, that we shall be in touch very soon. Just for now, remember that you are not all alone. There will be those who will help you out through this journey."
She could not have taken in anything more; those were the words that squeezed her again into life outside by the leaders of the faction.
