The wedding is over.
The laughter, the celebrations, the chaos—everything has settled.
Ozan is back to his world.
Meetings, deals, business. The sharp suits, the cold demeanor, the endless phone calls. Like the wedding never even happened. Like he never disappeared that night.
Leyla, on the other hand, tries not to care. She tells herself she doesn't care. But a part of her still notices the distance.
And it pisses her off.
But then, a few days later…
Ozan has a business meeting at Iskender's mansion. It's supposed to be a simple, straightforward thing. Get in, discuss, get out.
Except—
When he steps inside, Leyla's mother is there.
She's sitting in the garden, sipping tea. She smiles warmly when she sees him. "Ozan."
Ozan stops for half a second, then composes himself, walking over. "Auntie."
Leyla's mother gestures for him to sit. "I didn't expect to see you here. Business?"
Ozan nods, but his sharp eyes soften—just a little. "Yes. But it's always nice to see you."
She chuckles. "Such a sweet boy."
Ozan hesitates, then, as if on instinct, he hands her a bouquet of flowers.
A beautifully arranged set of white lilies and soft pink roses. Expensive. Thoughtful.
Leyla's mother gasps. "Ozan! What's this for?"
Ozan smirks. "A small gesture. To show my appreciation."
Leyla's mother shakes her head, touched. "You didn't have to, beta. But thank you."
And then—
Leyla walks in.
She stops in her tracks.
Leyla's mother also invited Ozan to stay in the mansion..
Leyla stares.
She cannot believe what she just heard.
Did her mother seriously just invite Ozan—Ozan—to stay the night at their mansion?!
Her mother. Her own mother.
The same woman who never lets anyone stay over unless they're family.
Leyla's eye twitches.
Ozan, on the other hand, is annoyingly calm. He simply nods, as if this is the most normal thing in the world.
"I appreciate the offer," he says smoothly, "I'll stay."
Leyla's jaw clenches. "No, he won't."
Her mother frowns. "Leyla, don't be rude."
"Rude?" Leyla lets out a sharp laugh. "Mom, he has a house. Actually, he has, like, ten. Why does he need to stay here?"
Her mother shakes her head. "It's just for the night. He's been so kind to us, Leyla."
"Kind?!"
Oh, this was a nightmare.
Leyla glares at Ozan, who is looking way too entertained.
"You did this on purpose, didn't you?" she hisses.
Ozan simply smirks. "What can I say? Your mom likes me."
"UGH!"
Leyla turns on her heel and stomps away.
This is a disaster.
Emir is gone on his honeymoon, her dad is in Izmir, and now her mom just invited Ozan to stay over?!
Leyla's life is officially a joke.
