Chapter 63 -  Does Your Girlfriend Mind?

"By the way, I'm a fan of both you and your mom's work," Kaito said with a smile.

"But I've only told you this, Sagiri. You can't tell anyone else, okay?"

"O-Okay," Sagiri stammered, her face turning red.

Kaito continued to chat with her, gently guiding the conversation.

Perhaps because they now shared a secret, Sagiri began to relax more.

She was no longer as shy as when they first met and even dared to lift her head to glance at him.

Though she still quickly looked away whenever Kaito met her gaze, curling up into a ball and hugging her knees, it was clear she was making progress.

Under the blanket, Izumi-san listened to her daughter's hesitant but growing conversation with Kaito.

Though Sagiri only responded with short, timid answers, it was obvious she was starting to warm up to him.

Izumi-san felt a sense of relief and pride, rewarding Kaito with a couple of enthusiastic gestures.

At the same time, her creative juices began to flow.

I've decided, she thought. My next manga will be about a mother-daughter relationship, NTR, and... maybe I'll make Kaito the daughter's boyfriend?

But as Izumi-san's mind buzzed with ideas, she didn't notice Sagiri's gaze lingering on the blanket.

Sagiri was curious.

As a rising star in the industry, her theoretical knowledge wasn't far behind her mother's.

After all, to become a worthy successor to the title of "Eromanga Sensei," she had read countless books!

Though she hadn't experienced much in real life, her knowledge was vast—enough to rival even some experienced adults.

So, when she looked at the blanket and thought about her mother's absence, a shocking idea popped into her head.

Could Mom be... under there?

Is this... a real-life doujin scenario?!

Sagiri was both shocked and intrigued.

She couldn't help but glance at Kaito.

To be fair, Kaito was undeniably handsome.

Even someone as immersed in the 2D world as Sagiri had to admit that this 3D teaching assistant was incredibly attractive.

And he was so young too.

"What's wrong?" Kaito asked, noticing her gaze.

Sagiri quickly looked away, her face flushing.

"N-Nothing."

"The food should be here soon. Could you go get it, Sagiri?"

So it's true! Mom really is under there!

Sagiri was now 99.99% sure of her mother's location.

Her face flushed with excitement.

This... this is incredible!

She felt a surge of inspiration, itching to run upstairs and start drawing a new manga featuring themes of mother-daughter relationships, NTR, and...

No wonder some artists say inspiration comes from real life, Sagiri thought. I used to think that was nonsense, but now I get it!

Kaito noticed Sagiri's occasional glances at the blanket and realized she had probably figured it out.

It wasn't surprising.

Unlike someone like Rin Tohsaka, who was too pure and naive to suspect anything unless it was blatantly obvious, Sagiri was a seasoned artist in the world of adult manga.

She had seen and imagined all sorts of scenarios.

In this field, she was a genius who could connect the dots with ease.

It would've been strange if she hadn't noticed.

But Kaito wasn't worried.

So what if Sagiri knew? It wasn't his problem.

He was just here to enjoy his life after transmigrating into this world.

Kaito sat back comfortably, his legs spread slightly, and continued watching the variety show.

He occasionally chatted with Sagiri, who responded while keeping her eyes glued to the blanket.

The blanket was large, covering Kaito's waist and legs, and even draping over the floor, hiding everything beneath it.

So...

Ding-dong.

"The food's here," Kaito said.

"Could you go get it, Sagiri?"

Sagiri didn't want to go.

But now that she was almost certain about her mother's location, she didn't want to disrupt the scene.

So, reluctantly, she nodded and stood up.

Sagiri finally mustered up the courage to leave the living room.

A little while later, she returned—not alone, but with the delivery woman from the barbecue place.

Kaito had ordered a lot of food, and the woman, a kind-looking middle-aged lady, brought it all in.

Clearly, her imagination wasn't as vivid as Sagiri's.

Under Sagiri's nervous gaze and Izumi-san's tense movements under the blanket, the woman didn't notice anything unusual.

She placed the food on the coffee table, exchanged a few words with Kaito in Chinese, and left with a smile.

Sagiri didn't have a big appetite.

After eating a few skewers and some vegetable rolls, she was full.

But before heading back upstairs, she couldn't help but ask one more question.

"Um... where's my mom?"

Under Sagiri's nervous and expectant gaze, Kaito smiled and patted the blanket.

"She'll probably be back soon."

"R-Really?"

Sagiri's face lit up with excitement, and she quickly ran out of the living room.

She felt a surge of inspiration and couldn't wait to get back to her room and start drawing!

As soon as the sound of her door closing upstairs echoed through the house, Kaito lifted the blanket, allowing Izumi-san to finally catch her breath.

She looked up at him with a mix of annoyance and exhaustion.

"Why did you pat my head earlier?" she whispered.

"If Sagiri had noticed..."

"If you don't say anything, and she doesn't notice, then it's like it never happened," Kaito said with a grin.

Izumi-san gave him a reproachful look but didn't argue further.

She knew her daughter's sharp mind and extensive theoretical knowledge might have already pieced things together.

"Want some barbecue?" Kaito asked, holding up a skewer.

"Their food is really good."

"...I'm full," Izumi-san said, though her tone suggested she wasn't just talking about food.

"Then let's continue," Kaito said with a playful smirk.

The Next Morning

Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains, illuminating the dark room.

Kaito opened his eyes, yawned, and looked down at Izumi-san, who was curled up at the foot of the bed, fast asleep and looking thoroughly exhausted.

He gently stroked her hair, and she stirred, letting out a soft "Mmm?" as she slowly woke up.

"I'll be leaving soon," Kaito said.

"W-Won't you stay a few more days?" Izumi-san mumbled, her voice still groggy.

"Sagiri seems to like you a lot."

Kaito chuckled, looking at Izumi-san, who was so smitten with him she could barely speak.

"I think it's more like Izumi-san likes me a lot," he teased.

Izumi-san gave him a playful glare but didn't deny it.

She had grown quite fond of Kaito—who wouldn't like a young, handsome, and physically perfect man?

Especially after last night's events, she even felt a sudden urge to switch from drawing pure love stories to... something a bit more risqué.

"You... you don't think I'm too old, do you?" she asked hesitantly.

"Of course not," Kaito said sincerely.

"To me, you're young and beautiful."

Izumi-san's eyes curved into happy crescents, but a flicker of fear and complexity soon appeared in her gaze.

"C-Can we... take things slower from now on?" she whispered.

"Of course," Kaito said gently.

"I'm in no rush."

He understood Izumi-san's fear.

Even someone as strong-willed as Kocho Kanae or Maria had been intimidated at first, let alone the petite and delicate Izumi-san.

"You're so kind," Izumi-san said softly, her voice filled with gratitude.

Whether it was out of guilt or fear of losing Kaito's interest, Izumi-san seemed determined to please him.

After breakfast, Kaito took a shower, with Izumi-san attentively helping him.

He then enjoyed another meal prepared by her before returning the favor by cooking breakfast for her.

As Kaito prepared to leave, Izumi-san suddenly grew nervous.

"Um... do you have a girlfriend?" she asked hesitantly.

"Why do you ask?" Kaito replied, raising an eyebrow.

"I-I..."

Izumi-san hesitated, then finally gathered the courage to speak.

"I don't feel safe staying here anymore. I want to move with Sagiri."

She took a deep breath.

"I was thinking... maybe we could move near your place. Become your neighbors. That way, we could..."

She trailed off, giving Kaito a shy yet seductive look that spoke volumes.

Then, in a softer voice, she added, "I was wondering... would you and your girlfriend mind?"
