Season 1: Rise of the Villain

Episode 28: A War in the Shadows

The name Black Sun Syndicate echoed in Damien's mind as he drove back to the safe house. A name he had hoped never to hear again.

They weren't just another criminal organization. They were hunters. Elite mercenaries who took contracts only when the target was personal. And now, he was their target.

That meant someone with power, someone with deep pockets, had put out the hit.

And Damien needed to find out who.

Back at the safe house, Jean and Nikolai were waiting, their expressions tense.

"You got something?" Jean asked.

Damien tossed his jacket onto the table. "Black Sun Syndicate. Someone hired them to take me out."

Vega let out a slow whistle. "That's bad news."

Jean frowned. "They don't just take jobs. Whoever hired them, it's personal."

Damien's gaze darkened. "I need to know who put out the contract. Fast."

Nikolai leaned against the wall. "I might have a lead. There's a Black Sun fixer operating in Madrid. Name's Arman Koenig. He handles contracts, makes the connections."

"Where?" Damien asked.

Jean pulled up a map. "Luxury casino in the city. High-end, exclusive. If we want to get close, we need a plan."

Damien exhaled. "We don't need a plan. We need leverage."

Hours later, Damien stepped into the casino, dressed in a sharp black suit. He wasn't here to gamble.

His target was Arman Koenig—a German financier who arranged assassinations like business deals.

Koenig was seated at a private table, surrounded by bodyguards.

Damien didn't hesitate. He walked straight up and sat across from him.

Koenig raised an eyebrow. "I don't recall inviting you."

Damien smiled coldly. "We need to talk."

Koenig's guards tensed.

Damien placed a small USB drive on the table. "Before you do something stupid, I'd take a look at this."

Koenig hesitated, then inserted the drive into his tablet. His expression shifted as he scrolled through the files.

Damien leaned forward. "Names. Bank accounts. Every dirty transaction you've made in the past year. If this goes public, Black Sun will turn on you before you can even leave Madrid."

Koenig swallowed hard. "What do you want?"

Damien's voice was ice. "Who put the contract on me?"

Koenig hesitated, but he knew he had no choice.

Finally, he muttered a name.

"Javier Montoya."

Damien's eyes narrowed.

Montoya—a drug lord from South America. Ruthless. Smart. And connected.

Koenig glanced around nervously. "You should leave. Now."

Damien stood. "One last thing."

Koenig barely had time to react before Damien slammed his fist into his face, knocking him out cold.

As Damien walked out of the casino, Vega's voice crackled through his earpiece. "You get what you needed?"

"Yes."

"Who's next?"

Damien stepped into the waiting car, his fists clenched.

"Javier Montoya."

This wasn't just survival anymore.

Now, it was revenge.
