Once Jenna stepped down from the carriage, two young girls rushed to help them with their bags while an older woman with a pipe in between her fingers stood at the entrance. One hand behind her, and her chin tilted up.

"I'll take the guests inside for tea, take their bags to the room down the first quarters." The woman's voice had a tinge of strictness in it that made everyone tense.

Jenna touched her shirt gently, her chin pointed so she wouldn't look like she could be easily intimidated. She followed the woman quietly, though the atmosphere around the place made her tense. Especially the woman who looked like she could get angry at every slightest mistake.

Percy was about to join the girls in gathering their bags when he remembered Rhane's instructions.

"Um..." he cleared his throat, "Rhane, take the bags inside, I'll go with our mistress."

Rhane nodded, he stood beside the carriage watching as Jenna entered through the large door and Percy behind her. Without taking the bags he turned and went on his way.

Inside the hallway that looked massive like an entire field, Jenna staggered because she couldn't keep her eyes focused. The long red curtains that started high above the ceiling down to the ground added to the magnificence of the hallway with fancy gold candelabras.

And it wasn't just the fanciful decorations that made the place look extra grandiose but the women at each side of the windows. All dressed in different shades of green, blue and white. Their faces as alluring as morning dews and even their laughter a sound of intoxication.

"Wow..." Percy drooled, his eyes on the young girls that chattered away.

The old woman that was leading them turned her head to the side and smirked. "You've never been inside the Garden before, have you?"

"Garden?" Jenna repeated, and the woman nodded.

"Those are maidens of the Garden, they serve everyone... men and women."

Jenna could only nod along as the woman spoke. She'd only heard of the Scourge Palace from her husband. Even when they came around for business, Jenna didn't get to see this far, but she hated the place so much. It was because her husband frequented the place, and every time he came back home, he became worse than he was.

As they got closer to a room, the old woman stopped abruptly and turned.

"He can't follow us. Where we are heading to... men don't dare go there."

Jenna smiled awkwardly, "So... um..."

"Instead, I can take him to a place he can rest and my girls will take care of him until we are done talking," the older woman reassured.

Percy's face lit up with joy, he couldn't wait to slip away from his mistress and have some time alone with the beautiful maidens he had seen.

The woman snapped her fingers, and immediately two young girls walked towards Percy. Side by side, they led him inside another room.

"Now follow me," the woman pushed another bigger door open, stepped aside waiting for Jenna to enter.

Meanwhile, Percy entered another room with the girls assigned to him. A room with its own spring and beds encircling it. Laughter, alcohol and naked skin filled the place. And most of all, everyone minded their business.

"Here is your bed," one of the girls touched Percy's chest, before pushing him gently on the soft bed.

"We will help you out of your shirt, Young Master, so you can have a cold bath," the other one promised.

Percy couldn't hide his blush, in fact at the moment he was grateful to Rhane for choosing to pack the bags. If it wasn't so, he would have missed a taste of heaven.

While Percy was getting accustomed to the girls and the treatment, someone rushed inside the room.

"I saw Lady Jenna!" the man that entered announced to others.

Some of the men raised their faces, all attention now on the man with gossip. Percy included the moment he heard his mistress's name.

"Isn't that Lady Jenna... the same one her husband put a bet on?" one of the men lying face down while being massaged asked.

The man that had run inside nodded in confirmation. "That is her! She's here at the moment."

"Jenna walked in here? Was she with Gerald?" another man asked.

"Haven't you heard that she left that fool? That's why he's not been frequenting here lately, probably has another unfortunate woman at home. " someone else added while others laughed.

When they stopped talking, Percy became restless. He wanted to know exactly why everyone in the room had his mistress on their lips. He stared at the girls helping him.

"Do you know what they're talking about?"

The young girls ignored him and continued washing his feet.

Percy hummed, he noticed the man that had brought the gossip heading towards the door. Percy had the option of ignoring what he heard. Relax and enjoy his stay with the beautiful maidens, but he was feeling uneasy.

"Urgh," Percy groaned, grabbing his shirt he ran after the man.

"Excuse me, young master," he beckoned politely.

"Yes? How may I help you?" the man asked, scrutinizing Percy with his gaze.

Percy touched the back of his neck nervously, "Well... I was wondering about what you said earlier. The woman... Lady Jenna."

"Yes? What about her?" the man asked, his eyes narrowed.

"It's um..."

"Wait!" the man snapped his finger, interrupting Percy. "Were you there that night? When Gerald put a bet using his wife? He said any man who could seduce his wife can take it all."

Percy gasped, his heart thumping against his lean chest. "Did anyone..."

"Um... I don't think people took him seriously that night, except one person though... I think it's the Master."

Percy frowned, not quite following. "What master?"

"Aren't you from this place? The Scourge himself," the man whispered like saying the name was a crime.

"I'm not sure how the story goes, but I heard Gerald borrowed money from the Master and put his wife as collateral... or was it not?" the man tapped his fingers on his lips.

"Either way, she's a target for a very dangerous man. Everyone stopped seeing her around, and we thought she escaped. Who knew she would walk into the tiger's den herself."

Percy staggered back, when his shoe fell he picked it up and dashed out of the room.

"Wait! I also heard that-" the man tried to stop him, but Percy ran like a wild animal was on his tail outside the mansion. He needed to inform his mistress that they had to be on their way.
