Claudia could not believe her ears; her body trembled, and her mind ran wild with thoughts, but Blair did not look like one lying. "No… we married, I signed the papers," she murmured, more to herself than the one gazing down at her. Blair chuckled dryly. "Of course you signed the papers, but what about the divorce?" she asked, her eyes fierce and her gaze piercing hard like a needle.

 "Did you read the divorce papers or wait?" She halted; her fingers traced invisible lines on the reel. "Didn't he tell you you thought he still loved you?" Claudia could feel the hurt in her heart ache with every word. Yes, she had been a fool. For years, she had convinced herself that Kabir would still want her no matter how badly she had treated him in the past. "Kabir will never do such," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper.
