Two girls sat in the warm pool, surrounded by a halo of serenity. The ashen-haired girl, with her locks tied in a neat, elegant bun, gazed at her friend with concern. Her piercing emerald eyes sparkled with intensity, and her delicate features seemed chiseled from porcelain. Her slender fingers toyed with the water's edge.
Her pink-haired companion, whose vibrant locks dangled under her chin like a fluffy cotton candy, looked stressed. Her bright, expressive blue eyes seemed to hold a world of worry, and her petite nose scrunched up in concern. Her soft, golden skin glistened with droplets of water.
"I'm so stressed out about tomorrow's selection," the pink-haired girl said, her voice laced with anxiety. Her full, pink lips trembled slightly.
The ashen-haired girl grinned reassuringly, her smile illuminating her heart-shaped face. "You've got nothing to worry about," she said, her voice melodious.
The pink-haired girl forced a smile, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're only saying that because you know you're a pro. What about me? I'm not as good as you... You've got big boobs and all the boys love you!" Her gaze drifted to the ashen-haired girl's chest, where her breasts swelled gently beneath the water's surface.
The ashen-haired girl blushed, touching her chest. "They're not big, are they?" Her cheeks flushed a delicate shade of pink.
The pink-haired girl nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, they're... Can't you see it?" She giggled, her eyes sparkling.
The ashen-haired girl rolled her eyes, a playful smile dancing on her lips. "You're just saying that to tease me.. Tomorrow is going to be perfect, and please... Don't go around talking about my boobs... They're not big."
"But Asami..you know I don't joke around with stuff like that..." The pink haired girl, her eyes flashing with a playful glint. She raised her hand a lit and water dripped down, landing with loud plops on the ground. With a subtle smile, she folded her fingers, leaving her index extended. The tip of her index began to cast a small golden glow.
Asami watched, intrigued, as she started drawing a circle in the air. The glowing tip of her finger left a shimmering trail, resembling a halo. The space between the halo turned white.
Suddenly, a bird burst forth from the circle, its feathers a brilliant, fiery hue. Its hind feathers seemed to be stringed, like a harp's, and they vibrated with each beat of its wings. The bird soared around the pool, its wings beating rapidly as it let out a melodic trill.
Asami smirked, her eyes never leaving the bird. "And there you are, making it sound like it's a difficult thing summoning..." She glanced at the girl, who watched the bird with a mixture of fascination and concern.
She mumbled, "It takes a lot of willpower to summon something bigger than a bird..."
Asami chuckled, her voice low and soothing. "Emilia... you don't have to make it sound so complicated... You've got all the power inside of you... You're just lazy to do it. Tomorrow will be a blast; the Selections will be a walk in the park for you!"
"That's easier said than done," Emilia replied, her eyes still fixed on the bird as it flew around the pool.
Asami chuckled, but Emilia's attention was stolen by something in the sky. She gazed up at the clear blue expanse, her eyes widening as she noticed a flicker of light, like a bright star that immediately vanished.
Emilia kept staring, her finger still extended from summoning the bird. Suddenly, she pointed upward, her voice trembling. "Asami... am I hallucinating, or is there something falling from the sky?"
Asami looked up, her eyes narrowing as she noticed a small, dark shape plummeting toward them. It was moving faster than she could anticipate, and for a moment, she thought it might be a bolt of lightning.
But it wasn't.
Asami and Emilia exchanged a worried glance. "Do you hear that?" Emilia asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Asami nodded, her eyes fixed on the approaching shape. "It sounds like someone screaming."
The flash was heading straight for them, and when Asami noticed, she reacted quickly. She grabbed Emilia's hand, pulling her out of the pool just in time. The bright flash struck the water, sending smoke and water splattering everywhere. Asami stood tall, a blade materializing in her hand. Her eyes narrowed, her gaze resting on the clearing smoke. She wasn't sure what it was, that had approached them but she felt she had to keep her guard up. It was rare to see things falling from the sky, unless...it was a trick, some sort of prank.
Emilia stood beside her, her voice shaking. "What was that?"
The smoke cleared, revealing a boy about their age. He had tawny blond hair, wet from the water, and clinging to his forehead in messy strands. His bright, azure eyes sparkled with confusion, and his chiseled features seemed sharp enough to cut glass. His lean physique, honed from what looked like extensive physical training, was evident even under the bruises that covered his arms, chest, and face.
He was dressed in a sleek black vest, torn and frayed in places, and a pair of worn, gray boxers. His legs, long and muscular, seemed to tremble slightly as he struggled to maintain his balance. Despite his rugged appearance, there was something vulnerable about him, something that made Emilia's heart skip a beat.
The three of them stood there, frozen in a moment of mutual shock. The boy's eyes, shaped like hearts, sparkled with confusion, and his cheeks turned bright red. He seemed to be drooling, his gaze fixed on the two girls.
Suddenly, his eyes flickered, and a look of realization crossed his face. "Is it just me, or am I staring at a couple of naked girls?" he asked, his voice trembling.
That was all it took to break the spell. Asami's face turned beet red with rage, and she quickly threw her blade at the boy. He dodged, stumbling backwards, and fell into the water with a splash, landing on his butt.
Asami stood over him, her anger visible. "I hate perverts!" she spat, raising her hand above her head, her palm stretched.
The boy, Quinn, held up his hands in defense. "I swear, I didn't do anything! I don't even know how I got here!"
Emilia intervened, placing a hand on Asami's shoulder. "Maybe he's telling the truth, Asami. He did just fall from the sky."
Asami's expression didn't change. "That was his intention, and for that, I'm going to enjoy breaking him!"
Quinn, still sitting in the water, couldn't help but stare at the two girls. His eyes roamed over their perfect forms, taking in the pink shades of their nipples, the curves of their hips....'So beautiful...' he thought. 'Can't believe this is actually happening...!'
Asami felt threatened by his gaze and screamed, "You bloody pervert! Stop staring at me!"
Quinn looked up, his eyes locked on Asami's. "I can't... you're naked!"
Asami's face turned purple with rage. "Lightning Bolt!" she shouted, raising her hand. If there was anything that she hated above everything else, it was having a boy drool over her perfect shape. She hated it. She hated everything about perverts.
Quinn had a feeling he was in deep shit. Bolts of lightning rained down from nowhere, striking the water he was in. The electrocution was intense, and Quinn felt his body numb. There was nothing he could do about it, all thanks to the System. He collapsed on his back, unable to move. He felt the cold water wrap around his skin.
"You've killed him!" Emilia screamed.
Asami rolled her eyes. "I didn't kill him, I just shocked him a little. He'll be fine in a short while."
Emilia looked at Quinn's limp form, her expression concerned. "You've ruined his cute face."
Asami shrugged. "He's a pervert, he deserved it."
"B-But...what if..." Emilia was hesitant. "...where do you think he came from?"
"I have no idea," Asami stared at him, staring at his face as he laid there. "But he sure looks a lot more human than I can ever expect. I'm pretty sure he's from the Outside World."
Emilia gasped. "You don't mean.... He's the one?"
Asami was hesitant. "I don't know myself, but we have to bring him with us. I'm sure Serena might have something to say...."
"I just pray he's the one...." Emilia said.
