The bare-chested man smirked. "It's alright, I've got an extra shirt in the trunk. Your friend here is quite handsy." He scoffed, clearly amused. As they walked toward Giselle, he added, "I'm Dominic Carrington, and the one trying to control your feisty friend is Victor Caldwell." He paused for a moment. "The one sitting in the back is Dante Blackwood."
Aurora's mind raced. Back? Someone's in the back too? she thought, but the darkness made it hard for her to spot the third figure. Aurora steadied herself, forcing a smile. "I'm Aurora Moonray," she introduced, "and these troublemakers are Giselle Dawnmist and Ivy Goldenshield."
Giselle was still glaring at Victor, but surprisingly, he remained patient. If I were him, I would've tossed her to the side by now and just gone back to the car, Aurora thought, feeling a brief moment of sympathy for him.
Finally, after a bit of maneuvering, Aurora had a grip on both girls. She bowed deeply, pushing their heads down in an exaggerated gesture, as if they too were apologizing. "Sorry for all the trouble," she said, a bit strained. "We'll take our leave now. And thank you for bearing with them."
Victor, smirking at Giselle, raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure you can handle them? If you're alright, we can give you a ride."
Aurora's eyes flicked to Giselle, who shot Victor a skeptical look, her narrowed gaze saying loud and clear, Yeah, I highly doubt you can even drive that car without crashing it.
Aurora was grateful for everything they'd done so far, but the last thing she wanted was to make things worse by accepting their help. Plus, there was no way she was getting into someone else's car with two drunk friends. She gave them a polite smile and said, "Thank you, but we don't want to trouble you any further. We live nearby, so it won't be much of an issue."
As she held the girls' hands tightly, trying to keep them steady, she noticed Ivy's eyes, wide with determination locked on Dominic's new shirt, clearly plotting her next move to tear it off him and get a better look at what was beneath. Dominic, catching the look, couldn't help but smirk in amusement.
