Giselle quickly tapped out a message in the "Mad Trio" group, needing to spill the details. "Guys, today I had to visit a client's place—Caldwell Innovations."
Ivy was quick to reply: "Ooh, nice! How'd it go?"
Giselle smiled to herself. "It was fine, went as expected. But you know who Caldwell Innovations' director is?"
Ivy, always confident, typed back: "It's gotta be some Caldwell heir. Who else?" She was so sure, Giselle could almost hear the smugness in her tone.
Aurora chimed in just then, eager to know what kind of trouble Giselle had gotten into: "Wait, what's going on? Spill."
Giselle hit send: "Victor Caldwell!!"
Ivy was silent for a moment. She clearly wasn't connecting the dots. Aurora, however, jumped right in: "Who??? Victor? The one you went all fiesty with?"
Ivy came back online, stunned: "Whatttttttt?" She typed frantically: "Destiny, bro, destiny! By the way, how was he? Couldn't see him in the dark last time."
Aurora, always the concerned one, followed up: "Did he say anything? Was he rude?"
Giselle quickly reassured them: "Nope, no mention of that night at all. Thank God. But let me tell you, he's a sly fox with those smirks."
As Giselle thought about it more, her mind wandered back to that blurry night. He did look good then too, she mused. Those jeans, that tight-fitted turtleneck, the way his chest seemed to pop out— She couldn't help but remember how his well-built muscular arms had gripped her slender ones.
She quickly shook the thoughts away, mentally scolding herself. Stop fantasizing about him, she thought, taking a deep breath. No need to get lost in those images again.
The chat didn't stop there. Curiosity struck both Aurora and Ivy, who dropped a teasing message: "Did you fall in love? 💕"
Giselle hurried to reply: "NO!" But even as she typed, her mind was still on him. How handsome he looked, his hair, his height, his lips that curled up into a smirk every time their eyes met, and those dark brown eyes with long lashes.
Her thoughts were interrupted by Aurora's playful message: "You sure?! 😏"
Giselle laughed, replying, "Yes, not yet for sure."
