Chapter 91: Buying a House

[Chapter 91: Buying a House]

Beverly Hills.

After winding around lush hills and scenic views, the car entered a verdant green strip and suddenly opened up to a breathtaking sight.

Dozens of sprawling mansions, each occupying more than a thousand square feet, dotted the landscape.

As the car pulled up near one of the luxurious estates, Ian stepped out, accompanied by a stunning blonde with big waves in her hair.

Dressed in professional attire and holding a clipboard, she said to Ian, "Please follow me, Mr. Carr."

As they walked, she introduced, "The Godwin Manor is 20,000 square feet, consisting of three levels. The top-level terrace has a helipad, with a living room, dining room, and kitchen on the first floor, while bedrooms and studies are on the second and third floors. There are two levels of basements that provide leisure rooms, including a game room, a billiard room, and a home theater, making the livable area approximately 18,000 square feet."

Pushing open the glass door, they entered to view a swimming pool, with a distant garden featuring faux mountains and a flowing stream.

The beautiful guide led Ian up to the third-level terrace, where they enjoyed a birds-eye view of the area.

Situated at a higher elevation, this was one of the most picturesque and expensive homes in Beverly Hills.

The distant mountains were majestic, and the gentle stream at their feet completed a scene of perfect beauty.

Living in such a place would require a full team just to maintain it; most people couldn't afford it even if it were given to them for free.

...

"This place is fantastic," Ian expressed in admiration.

Standing beside him, the tall beauty with bright red lips and cascading golden locks smiled, saying, "I'm glad you like it. I've dealt with many potential buyers lately, and most have nitpicked; you're the first to acknowledge how great it is."

Ian replied casually, "They want to justify their decision not to buy, but I'm different; I genuinely want this house, even if the price is indeed steep."

Clara immediately responded, "If you're willing to sign today, I can check with our chairman; perhaps I can offer you a better price."

Hearing this made Ian smile.

He turned to lean against the railing, asking, "That's not urgent, but I am curious. Why is your chairman suddenly selling this place? Is the company in financial trouble?"

Clara raised an eyebrow slightly, saying, "If a company faces financial strain, they usually approach banks for loans or seek investor financing. The chairman is not a sole proprietor, so there's no need to sell property to raise money. Moreover, with the large industry scale of Minova Group, if they had real issues, it wouldn't just involve thirty million dollars."

Ian commented, "But I've heard that Minova Group is indeed facing some challenges. Your stock prices have been falling; your chairman wouldn't be trying to raise funds to buy back shares to stabilize the prices, would he?"

Minova was a diverse conglomerate based in Los Angeles, with ventures in media, transport, beverages, food, and jewelry. However, because of this diversity, they lacked a core product, leading to difficulties in maintaining profitability.

Two years ago, Minova had an estimated value of eight billion; this year, it dropped to over four billion, facing continuous losses and being burdened by debt.

Of course, Clara wouldn't admit it.

She laughed, "Mr. Carr, you don't exactly appear to be looking to buy a house; you seem more like someone trying to uncover a business secret."

Ian shook his head, "Don't get me wrong; I really want this house, but what I want may extend beyond just your chairman's estate. I mean, if your chairman needs cash, have they considered selling some shares?"

Clara looked surprised. "You want shares in Minova?"

"No, but I've heard your chairman has shares in Spark TV?"

Clara opened her mouth, then laughed after a moment, "So that's your true aim? There was no need for so much pretentiousness."

"I want both the house and the shares, and maybe..." He glanced at Clara and suddenly changed his tone, "Would you be interested in having dinner together?"

It was still morning, and they were already discussing dinner plans?

Clara understood what he meant by the unspoken half of the sentence.

Flipping her hair flirtatiously, she smiled sweetly, "Mr. Carr, I'm not actually a professional real estate agent. Even if I sell the house, I won't receive any commission."

The implication was clear; she wouldn't let him use this to pressure her.

Ian looked bewildered, "You're not that lacking in confidence, are you?"

What?

Clara appeared surprised.

Ian pointed at her, "You're stunning, Miss Stone, an assistant to the chairman, a top-tier woman with beauty, wealth, and talent. To think you would be swayed for money? That's an insult to yourself."

He shrugged, "You either underestimate my intellect, or you underestimate your own allure. Who would be foolish enough to think that money could make you compliant?"

Clara laughed, covering her mouth, "Are you saying it's all my fault then?"

Ian leaned in closer, whispering, "I plan to establish a deep collaboration with your group, and you would be the best point of contact. It's a privilege to get to know such a talented woman like you."

His tone was gentle, filled with sincerity in his gaze.

Many people turned flirting into their main approach but often ignored the need for acting!

Without the right emotions, how could one enhance the effect of their words?

Clara was an executive; she wasn't a naive little girl, yet she was not easily impressed by money... unless the offer was enough.

Women like her had their own needs.

They required a career, and they also had physical needs!

The side effects of hypnosis showed the other person's psychological demands; it was a form of healthy feedback!

It doesn't hurt!

It doesn't hurt at all!

...

So the next moment, Ian's arm was already around Clara's waist.

Clara's body flinched slightly, but not too much.

She looked at the handsome young man before her.

Handsome, elegant, and charming.

Affluent, sunny, and exuding confidence.

If she could get into bed with such a boy, Clara felt she would even willingly pay for it.

She grabbed Ian's tie and whispered, "Be honest; do you want the house, the shares, or me?"

"I have a hearty appetite; I want all!" Ian took a deep breath, savoring her fragrance, "Isa's fragrance, timeless, elegant, lingering, perfectly matching with this soft, delicate skin... absolutely exquisite!"

His hand had now fallen on the beauty's behind.

Clara burst into giggles, puffing up her chest, "You sure know how to enjoy life. You're certainly a character who thrives in the glamour industry."

"Experience is key; that's how I get good at skills." Ian gently kissed her earlobe.

This comment might have drawn ire in some places, but here, it felt entirely natural.

Clara closed her eyes, savoring the delicate and smooth foreplay.

Indeed, he had remarkable skills.

Ian stated, "I want to test the bed in the third-floor bedroom for its softness."

Clara murmured, "Why not start on the terrace instead?"

Then she pushed Ian down.

---

On the terrace, in the bedroom, on the sofa.

Each nook of the mansion bore the traces of their pleasure.

After rounds of fervor, Clara lay delicately in Ian's embrace, her eyes sparkling with content.

Lying on Ian's chest, she giggled coyly, her gaze soft as water, "You're the best guy I've ever met, but it's time for lunch now."

"Weren't you full yet?" Ian stroked her smooth back inquiringly.

Clara lightly hummed, "If you still have more..."

She tilted Ian's chin up, "Although I'm not in real estate, I still hope you can help close this deal for me."

"Of course, that includes shares from Spark TV," Ian replied.

He lightly kissed Clara, "Do me a favor; I want to know your chairman's bottom line... I won't haggle on the house since that's your chairman's own money, but the TV station needs to be a good deal!"

Clara bit her lip tightly, "I knew it, Ian Carr, you want to use me. Are you trying to charm me?"

"Are you intrigued?" Ian asked with a smile.

She laughed heartily, "You need to offer me something in return."

"How much?"

"Not money!" She smiled brightly at Ian, her eyes filled with desire.

She clung to Ian, her soft and alluring body pressed against him, "Satisfy me, Ian Carr!"

Ian chuckled softly, "That might not be easy... but I'll try."

Another round of passionate encounters ensued.
