[Chapter 107: We Are Willing to Follow You]
An hour later, the police arrived.
By the time they got here, the scene had already been cleared, the bodies arranged neatly on the street.
The officers even saw reporters rushing ahead of them once again.
Captain Beaton, who had been pulled out of bed, shouted, "What is going on here? Can someone tell me?"
Katherine walked over confidently, her posture upright and imposing, if one overlooked the bruises at the corners of her eyes.
She spoke loudly, "Reporting in, Captain, it's me. I've got evidence that Bloods is involved in human trafficking; they brought some women here..."
As she wove her carefully crafted lie, Katherine needed to paint herself as a heroic cop who took on the world alone.
Listening to Katherine, Captain Beaton appeared shocked, "Are you joking with me? Katherine, there are hundreds of gang members on this street!"
Katherine pointed to her bruise, "That's how I got hurt."
"Fuck! Don't think you can play me for a fool!" Beaton shouted.
"Captain Beaton!" Just then, Ian walked over.
"Ian Carr?" Beaton said, speechless as he looked at him. "Why is it that you always show up when there's trouble?"
Katherine thought, Because it's his doing.
Ian smiled, "Because I'm a reporter. We chase all the hot topics. The Los Angeles Herald is the first to give the public valuable news."
Beaton felt a sharp pang of annoyance.
Can I smack you?
Your tone is really bugging me right now!
The next moment, Ian had slung his arm over Beaton's shoulder, "Can we talk somewhere private?"
Beaton nodded in understanding, and the two walked to a nearby corner.
...
A moment later, they returned.
Captain Beaton, looking serious, addressed Katherine: "Good job, Katherine. I'll commend you to the higher-ups."
Katherine scoffed, "What did he offer you in return?"
Beaton's expression darkened, "Being indecisive is the worst thing a person can be, woman! When you start giving up your principles, and keep thinking about unnecessary things, you're just being foolish!"
Katherine felt a chill run through her, helplessly lowering her head.
Beaton called out loudly, "Make the record and let them go."
---
As it got late, Ian didn't take them home but instead led them to a hotel in Hollywood.
It was already one in the morning.
After checking into the room, Ian invited them in.
He said, "Go take a shower first. I bet you haven't had a proper wash in days."
It was a presidential suite, luxurious and spacious, with a round hot tub that could accommodate several people.
From the beginning, it had been intended for that purpose.
Amanda Seyfried grasped Ian's hand, "Aren't you going to join us?"
The girl was only 16, but she was in the prime of her life, tall and with an enticing gaze that sparkled with allure.
Seeing the expectation in her eyes, Ian swallowed hard, trying to calm his racing heart.
He gently kissed her forehead, "Of course, I'll come in."
...
Soon, the girls made their way into the bathroom.
They stripped off their clothes and stepped into the hot water, the door left wide open, allowing glimpses of a vibrant scene.
Some of them were experienced, while others were not, but in that moment, they all relaxed and let loose.
The sound of splashing water filled the air, accompanied by laughter and chatter, as the five beautiful figures glowed under the lights, exuding temptation.
They played in the bath, washing away the fatigue and grime of the past few days, growing more enchanting with each passing moment.
...
Meanwhile, Ian sat in the living room, catching a glimpse of himself in the mirror.
The long-awaited pleasure had finally arrived!
As a veteran from his previous life, Ian felt no moral guilt; instead, he had only the nervousness of whether he could hold up under the strain and the excitement sparked by beauties like Jessica.
He tried to suppress his emotions, easing his impulses.
Then he downed his drink and slowly shed his clothing.
He stepped into the warm waters of the hot tub.
The girls quickly snuggled up to him.
...
As he felt their warm and soft embraces, Ian smiled at them, "We haven't really talked much before; why don't we take this chance to get to know each other? Tell me about yourselves and how you ended up here."
Jessica Alba leaned on his chest and said, "I'm Jessica Alba, an actress, 20 years old. I was kidnapped on my way home four days ago. They said they were taking me out of the country..."
As Jessica explained, Ian understood that her kidnapping was somehow connected to him.
Gangsters generally wouldn't go after well-known actresses like her; the consequences were just too severe.
But after Ian had exposed Senator Inez Kassar, the crazy man Jett had been cornered. -- This incident had made him enemies among the big shots, and he had to figure out a way to make amends.
Jessica was seen as a target in this situation -- if he could take care of her, it would solve issues with a powerful figure.
Thus, crazy Jett had taken the risk.
Of course, Ian wouldn't say any of this.
It wasn't his responsibility; he was merely her savior.
...
On Ian's left was a round-faced girl who said, "I'm Barbara Cronk, 19 years old. They promised me I'd be brought to Hollywood to become an actress, but they deceived me. I was the only one who fell for it; I was so stupid. Later I managed to escape and found the police, but that officer sent me back, and those guys beat me up."
As she spoke, she straightened her back, revealing bruises on her chest.
She had bolted first, which left her with a sense of guilt towards Ian, making her particularly nervous, looking at him with eyes filled with affection and remorse.
Ian didn't pay it much mind; it was natural for the young girl to be nervous about running away, right?
She didn't blame him for earlier pushing her to kill, so that was a relief.
He hugged Barbara and gently reassured her, "It's all behind you, Barbara. Everything will get better."
...
The girl with the long legs and a ponytail leaned in, saying, "I'm Helen Berry, 21, the oldest among them. You know Halle Berry? She's my aunt. She put me in contact with a producer in Hollywood, hoping to help me get a role. But it turned out that producer was connected to the gang. They saw me and kidnapped me. I still have no idea whether the producer was involved or not."
That explained your darker skin; I thought it was just tan.
Many girls loved sunbathing, getting that bronzed glow, believing it was healthy and beautiful.
Because of the mixed ancestry of many African Americans, some had much lighter skin. If Helen had not mentioned it, Ian would have thought she was a white girl getting a tan.
But now, this was still nice; a healthy tan was tempting, and her skin was incredibly delicate.
That was a rare quality for a beauty!
Ian gently stroked Helen's soft curves, "I'll look into that producer. If he sold you out, he's done for. Oh, and Barbara, the cop who failed you, he's toast too! The Los Angeles Herald always has good stories to share!"
Barbara and Helen simultaneously burst into cheerful laughter.
...
To Ian's right, the tall, striking girl with adorable freckles said, "I'm Kelsey Tix, 18. I just started college and was planning a holiday trip to Hollywood when they kidnapped me. I thought I was done for until I met you!"
She wrapped her arms around Ian's neck, fiercely forcing his head toward her chest, "You're my knight in shining armor; you saved me, Ian!"
That girl was undoubtedly the most forward, the most flirtatious.
"It's all of us!" the girls chimed in merrily.
It took Ian some effort to escape Kelsey's embrace, turning his gaze toward Amanda.
...
Amanda, the youngest, was the only one who hadn't approached yet.
She softly said, "I'm Amanda Seyfried, I'm from Allentown, Pennsylvania, attending William Allen High School. I'm 16, and I can have sex, but I haven't yet. They said a Cardinal was interested in me; the price for my first time was a hundred grand. I was planning to go to Hollywood during vacation to see if I could find more opportunities... I'd acted in a TV show before they kidnapped me."
She lowered her head at that moment, "I've fantasized about this many times, but I never thought my first time would involve... so many people."
Helen smiled, "Don't be nervous, Amanda; it's nothing."
Amanda whispered, "I need you guys to give me courage."
"Of course!" the girls responded in unison.
...
Helen actively pulled Amanda over to Ian.
It got a bit crowded.
Ian had to soothe each one in turn.
Amid the gentle touches, it became increasingly difficult for Ian to hide his reactions, and the girls noticed his changes, only chuckling softly in response.
They laughed in the water, happily chatting with Ian.
Jett had been right; these five girls were something special.
You could criticize their characters all you wanted, but you couldn't deny their keen sense of beauty.
Although Barbara, Kelsey, and Helen weren't as famous as Jessica Alba and Amanda Seyfried, fame needed luck and wasn't just about looks. Nevertheless, in terms of looks, these three girls were not lacking at all.
...
As they played together, Ian felt their enthusiasm, the delicate warmth of their bodies, and it sent his heart racing.
But since they had only just met, Ian held back his urges, thinking to first build some rapport.
He drew the petite Barbara into his lap and, following suit, he asked, "So do you all still want to be actresses?"
Round-faced Barbara shook her head repeatedly, "No, I don't want to anymore. What happened this time was too horrifying; I shudder every time I think about it."
Saying this, she nestled into Ian's arms, "Only in your embrace can my heart feel at ease."
She hugged Ian and gave him a sweet kiss.
The water rippled slightly, creating a few bubbles.
Content, Ian returned her adorable kiss.
Of the five girls, Barbara and Amanda were the cutest, while Kelsey and Helen were the most proactive. Jessica was the prettiest, and acted in a balanced manner.
Barbara's long legs emerged from the water, her beautiful eyes darting mischievously at Ian, igniting his already simmering interest. The foremost entranced by his presence was indeed Barbara.
Her face flushed, the warm water couldn't dissolve the heat within her heart.
Helen Berry then nestled closer and said, "I still haven't given up; after all, this kind of thing doesn't happen every day, right?"
Ian replied, "But there might be other trouble. The world is perilous; possessing exquisite looks without the power to protect oneself means higher risks... whether or not you're still in this circle."
Those words caused the girls to slightly pale.
Ian chuckled, "But I've always been interested in breaking into the entertainment industry and am preparing for it. With me around, nobody will target you."
The five girls' eyes all lit up, "We are willing to follow you!"
Ian wrapped his arms around the girls, smiling, "That's exactly what I wanted to hear."
