[Chapter 123: Jewish Perspectives]
One day later, Ian got what he wanted.
As previously mentioned, the materials that Nicole Kidman possessed weren't actually explicit content; instead, they were records of conversations that mostly took place at Tom Cruise's home. At that time, her relationship with Tom Cruise had already taken a turn for the worse. To maximize her gains during the divorce, she had secretly recorded numerous discussions.
These private conversations, held in a confidential setting, tended to be quite unrestrained, leaking a great deal of significant information, much like hushed discussions in a club. Yet, Ian preferred these over any salacious material. He was already aware of the more sensational excursions of these powerful figures, but that hardly mattered to him. It was the records of their conversations that held true weight!
Among them, the most shocking was a dialogue between Steven Spielberg and a Jewish man named Daniel Malit at Tom Cruise's house, while Tom was absent. The two were playing pool in the basement of Tom's home.
...
"Mind your habits, Daniel," Spielberg stated.
Daniel Malit replied, "I don't think there's anything to mind. They are animals! All non-Jews are animals!"
Spielberg retorted, "You're being a bit paranoid."
"The word 'human' refers to the image of God. He is the image of God; that's what makes us human. We decide all of this, so only we are human!"
Spielberg, maintaining a calm tone, said, "The existence of the Haredi isn't meant to turn everyone into enemies."
Daniel Malit exploded, "This is a sacred covenant, untouchable!"
Spielberg chuckled lightly, "Just hope you don't advocate for this openly. I believe this should remain more discreet."
Daniel Malit suggested, "We can start by supporting a few minority groups, like feminism, and..."
Spielberg looked surprised, "But that's just a small minority."
"However, they will ultimately become a majority. I don't need to explain the benefits of supporting minority groups, do I, Stephen? This world isn't solely decided by numbers; it's about action! Minorities tend to be more proactive, and they represent a much larger market."
Spielberg pondered for a long while before saying, "This isn't something that can be solved overnight, but I don't oppose it. Alright, Daniel, this isn't our home, so keep your voice down. Tom will be back soon."
...
Listening to this conversation, Ian couldn't help but shake his head.
It was a shame there was no video, and Spielberg was cautious; he didn't outright express this attitude. However, his indulgence itself hinted at a deeper issue.
But if that's the case, was the future of the movement going to be born from their instigation? It made sense.
Ian remembered that a state had once passed some gun control legislation in the U.S. (not a total ban, just restrictions on more powerful firearms), which received 80% support from the local population and consequently reduced gun crime.
Yet during the midterm elections, several advocates of the gun control initiative lost their seats.
Why did they lose despite having most of the public backing?
The answer was simple: many supporters stayed home on voting day, while those against the gun control measure turned out in droves to vote. This demonstrated that the power of opposition always outweighed that of gratitude!
Feminism or whatever else had become prominent not only because of financial backing but also because, as a minority, they had a natural inclination to activism. To address discrimination, they had more than enough motivation to fight for their cause, which allowed the minority to exert influence that surpassed that of the majority.
Thus would begin an ongoing campaign to expand their influence!
Some claimed that being a trans was a genetic issue -- nonsense! If it were a genetic issue, how could this group grow exponentially in just a short period? Because it could be influenced psychologically.
Hence, indulging such movements could lead to significant chaos!
So, some things couldn't simply be addressed by numbers; even with 80% support, without organization and corresponding action, verbal support meant nothing!
Ian realized that the movement was bound to make waves in the future, but he hadn't anticipated that the scheming would begin now, heavily linked to these actions.
...
Ian didn't plan to stop any of this; these people were useful tools. If others could use them, he could as well.
He continued to listen, and this time it was Woody Allen's turn.
This guy was straightforward.
This man who married his adopted daughter had a notoriety that many knew about, but evidence was always lacking.
Tom Cruise's issues were...
He had known from the beginning what Scientology was but didn't care. Using his immense influence, he brought countless followers to the church, which in turn provided him with many benefits, including money and privileged treatment.
As for Lucas, most of his dealings were straightforward but also had illegal undertones.
Compared to the explicit content, these issues were far more destructive, just like how discussions at a club could be deadly if leaked!
But when there was enough evidence, things changed completely!
These recordings brought Ian a more precise tracking direction... this was a long-term strategy; immediate gains were not the point!
...
"How does it feel?" Nicole Kidman lay beside Ian, lightly rubbing her body against his.
The room was warmly lit by the sun, casting gentle shadows over Nicole's figure.
"Not bad. This will become a powerful weapon against them," Ian secured all the recordings.
He locked eyes with Nicole Kidman and smirked slightly.
Nicole stated, "Do I need to remind you? Those people aren't easy to deal with. If you release this information, you'll become the enemy of all Jews!"
Ian chuckled, "I know what I'm doing. Don't worry, sweetheart, I have a handle on this."
Those people?
Openly attacking them would be foolish, but dismantling them one by one posed no problem whatsoever.
When acting under the guise of self-interest, all actions were deemed just.
You could even rally part of the community to fight another faction, as long as you convinced them it was a lucrative endeavor.
However, with that in mind, Nicole Kidman would need to be soothed.
He held Nicole close and softly asked, "How are things with the production crew?"
Nicole responded, "Still investigating. Currently, it's deemed an accident. I told him I could return his things, but he needed to provide enough resources. I don't want just money."
Tom Cruise had very close ties with that community. He had collaborated with Spielberg on many films, including Minority Report and later War of the Worlds. His flagship series Mission: Impossible also partnered with Paramount, which later acquired DreamWorks. The parent company of Paramount, Viacom, was also controlled by the Redstone family, who were Jewish.
Thus, Tom's close relationship with them was the foundation of his success, and Viacom was directly in competition with Ian.
From any angle, Ian simply couldn't be friends with Tom Cruise.
Of course, being polite in public was still acceptable.
After a moment of reflection, Ian said, "His resources aren't worth anything. I'll cover for you moving forward."
Nicole brightened visibly.
Ian continued, "But I still believe you should secure the rights to Mission: Impossible."
Nicole looked puzzled, "You didn't say that yesterday."
"Don't worry, sweetheart. I'm not saying you need to acquire all rights. The guy who threatened you yesterday is dead, and Tom Cruise and his crew are scared. They can't comprehend why this happened. Now, you're all in mutual fear! So, take a step back and tell him you'll settle for only half the rights, and that Tom Cruise will always be the lead actor, with all production overseen by him. All you need is a fair share and filming permissions. You can afford to make concessions on divorce compensation!"
The significance of the rights wasn't in how much they would earn but in the fact that without those rights, they couldn't produce anything without permission.
Once Nicole secured half the rights, all future Mission: Impossible filming plans would require her nod of approval.
So for Ian, it wasn't the money that mattered; it was the power that counted.
He wanted just 10% of those major films' proceeds, but the power to decide whether they could be made sat with him!
Influence was always his primary pursuit!
He kissed Nicole softly and said, "Once you secure the rights to Mission: Impossible, you'll control him. Even if he tries to withhold resources from you, he won't be able to. He'll accept half!"
Nicole Kidman clutched Ian tightly, "You'll protect me!"
Ian smiled, "Of course."
Nicole had at least another decade of prime time left. There was no way she was going to give that up easily!
