"I do!" Aaron confirmed enthusiastically. "In addition to the invisibility cloak, I've also developed a new projectile."
"A throwing object?" one of the warriors asked, intrigued.
"The kind that explodes," Aaron replied, his tone calm as he reached into his bag and pulled out a round object. He removed a needle from it, then casually tossed it onto the ground.
The object exploded instantly upon hitting the ground, creating a shallow crater.
"I've heard of a weapon in Midgard called a grenade," Aaron explained. "So, I combined that idea with explosion magic to create something similar. I call it a magic grenade. The power varies depending on how much magic energy you infuse into it."
He gestured to the crater. "That was the smallest version. I have larger ones too."
At first, the Asgardians watched with mild interest, but that quickly faded as they learned the grenade's inspiration came from a Midgard weapon. To the Asgardians, the people of Midgard were seen as backward, so they didn't think much of the magic grenade.
The power of the magic grenade didn't seem to impress them either. With their superior armor, any Asgardian soldier could easily withstand such an explosion.
"What else do you have?" Thor asked, looking around with a hint of impatience. "That's not the only thing, is it?"
Aaron grinned. "Oh, definitely. Try casting Thunder on me."
Thor raised an eyebrow. "What? You want me to cast Thunder on you?"
Aaron chuckled. "Yes, I'm serious. You can try it. Just go ahead."
Thor immediately became more cautious. "Aaron, I never strike my own partners!"
"And you are one of my best partners!" Aaron replied, giving Thor a reassuring smile.
Thor hesitated for a moment but then nodded. Seeing no other choice, Aaron summoned a materialized duplicate of himself and handed it some enchanted armor. "Try it on this duplicate. It should be fine."
Thor still hesitated, eyeing the duplicate with suspicion. "Alright, but explain to me what you want me to test."
"I want you to test the defense of my enchanted armor," Aaron explained. "It has an energy shield that should be able to resist any normal damage. As long as you don't use your full strength, we should be fine."
Before Thor could reply, Loki spoke up, his voice full of surprise. "Wait, did you say energy shield? How do you know that magic? Queen Frigga never mentioned it to me..."
Loki quickly realized what he'd said, his face turning red. "Ahem... I mean, when did you learn such magic?"
Aaron raised an eyebrow, but didn't reveal too much. "The Queen once told me that I could ask any teacher in the School of Magic about these kinds of things."
He left out the part about learning the energy shield magic from Amora, as it was better left unsaid in front of everyone.
Loki frowned, realizing that Aaron had learned magic beyond his knowledge. He had always thought he could keep tabs on Aaron by paying attention to Frigga's magic lessons, but Aaron was proving to be an unpredictable opponent.
Thor, having been interrupted by Loki, finally decided to trust Aaron. He knew Aaron was capable, and this was just a simple test on a duplicate. Even if the energy shield failed, there was no real risk of harm.
With that, Thor raised Mjölnir high, summoning a bolt of lightning that crackled with divine energy.
A moment later, the thunderbolt slammed into the duplicate, but just before it struck, a golden barrier expanded around the armor, blocking the blow.
Thor's eyes widened with interest. "Impressive. Let's see if it can handle more."
This time, Thor poured more energy into his strike, sending a larger thunderbolt crackling toward the duplicate. The barrier held, but the impact sent the duplicate sliding backward, struggling to stay upright.
"Alright, it can block this level of attack," Thor said, his grin widening. "Let's see if it can handle this!"
Now fully excited, Thor gathered all his energy. The air around him thickened as dark clouds swirled overhead, and lightning crackled violently, filling the sky.
Thor's thunderbolt tore through the atmosphere with tremendous force, and in a single moment, it struck the golden energy shield. For a brief second, the shield held, but then the sheer power of the thunderbolt shattered it.
The resulting explosion sent the duplicate and its enchanted armor flying through the air.
Aaron watched in shock as the armor fell to the ground in broken pieces.
"Is this Thor's strength?" Aaron thought to himself. "And this is still in his unawakened state. If he were fully awakened, his power would be enough to temporarily knock even Hela off balance."
Aaron couldn't help but marvel at the devastation. "The energy shield was at LV5, but it's still not enough to withstand Thor's full power. Maybe only a LV6 or LV7 shield could hold up against that kind of attack."
Usually, the enchantments placed on objects are not as strong as the magic abilities of the enchanter. However, Aaron had the unique ability to imbue objects with magic that matched his own power.
If he had been the one taking the thunder strike, there was no way he could have survived it. Thor's thunder was divine energy, far stronger than ordinary magic.
Aaron knew he could never directly challenge Thor in battle. Thor's divine power was far beyond the reach of any mortal magic. Only with further refinement could Aaron develop magic capable of standing up to a god like Thor.
"Maybe in the future," Aaron muttered under his breath. "But not now."
