On the frozen throne, Laufey stood up and gazed at the assembled crowd as though inspecting his prey.
"Aren't you all hiding in your little corner, only to come here to die? Asgardians!" he sneered.
"I am Thor Odinson!" Thor boldly declared.
"I know who you are, Odin's eldest son." Laufey's voice was cold and indifferent.
His eyes turned hard, remembering the past. His hatred for Asgard, and especially for Odin, burned deep within him. If not for Odin's interference, he would have led his people to freeze Midgard, turning it into their second home. But Odin had cast them out, forcing them from Midgard, invading Jotunheim, taking their holy relics, and imprisoning him for a thousand years. He could never forget that.
"Laufe, how did your men infiltrate Asgard?" Thor demanded, his voice steady.
Loki, standing off to the side, instinctively turned to look at Laufey.
Laufey's lips twisted into a sarcastic smile. "Odin is surrounded by traitors. Do you really think it's difficult to get into Asgard?"
"That executioner and thief couldn't possibly understand that his rule is crumbling around him!"
"Why? Is Odin too old to face me himself? Instead, he sends his eager son and a group of children to die for him?"
Laufey mockingly addressed Thor. In his eyes, Thor was nothing more than a child playing at being a king. A future monarch wouldn't lead such a reckless invasion of enemy territory.
"Hmm?" Laufey's eyes narrowed as he sensed a wave of magic from behind.
"Yo, kid. You're an interesting one. It seems Asgard has a talent for magic," Laufey sneered, addressing Aaron.
Aaron's eyes glinted, and a magical aura started radiating from him.
The others were immediately on edge. It was magic!
"Aaron!" Sif suddenly recalled something and turned to Laufey.
Aaron's parentage was known to many. He was just one of many children whose parents perished in the war—a war that Laufey himself had been a part of.
"He's the one who grows the fastest, showing the most promise with his magic. It's him, isn't it?" Sif said, her voice shaking with recognition.
"Don't be impulsive, Aaron. We haven't crossed the line yet. Think carefully!" she warned.
The rest of the group echoed her thoughts, urging Aaron to stay calm.
Laufey heard the murmurs and, with a wicked grin, addressed Aaron directly. "Aaron, is it? I've killed your parents. Today, I'll show mercy. Leave now, before I change my mind."
At that moment, a wave of frost titans closed in, surrounding them.
Thor clenched his fists in anger. He would not tolerate this insult, not when it came to his friends or his father's name.
Loki, who had been silently watching, began signaling a retreat, but just as he did, Thor's temper snapped.
"Damn it! Who do you think you are, calling me a child!" Thor yelled, his voice booming.
With that, Mjolnir was flung into the air, striking down several titans in its path.
At the same time, Aaron raised his hands, summoning a fierce magical barrier as dozens of lightning bolts rained down, obliterating all the Frost Titans surrounding them.
The resulting explosion created a massive vacuum, leaving no one within hundreds of meters standing.
The rest of the Asgardians paused, stunned by the intensity of the lightning.
"Well done, Thor!" Sif praised, though she soon realized it wasn't Thor who had unleashed the magic.
Thor, now confused, looked at Aaron. "Is that you, Aaron? Why didn't you tell me you could make lightning that powerful?"
Aaron, ever the laid-back magician, shrugged. "You didn't ask."
But despite their success, Laufey was unperturbed. He knew his forces weren't finished yet. He ordered another wave of Frost Titans to charge forward.
Each race in the Nine Realms was battle-hardened and unafraid of death. The Frost Titans, like the Flame Titans and Dark Elves, would fight to the last. Even when thousands fell, they would not retreat until their mission was complete.
The Asgardians, though formidable, were beginning to feel the weight of the battle. While Aaron and Thor could hold their own, the others—Vostagg, Fandral, and the others—were starting to falter.
Fandral, in particular, was struggling. Surrounded by titans, he barely managed to fend off an ice spike aimed at his chest with a shield of magical energy. He caught his breath as the battle armor Aaron had given them proved invaluable.
After Fandral's close call, they all began to realize how important Aaron's armor was to their survival.
However, the fight was far from over.
Laufey, watching the battle unfold, noticed Aaron and Thor's impressive teamwork, but he wasn't about to sit idle. He released his most fearsome pet—a giant Ice Beast, taller than many of the Frost Titans.
The two beasts collided in a spectacular battle, causing massive destruction and taking down numerous titans in their wake.
But even as the battle raged on, Laufey became more and more concerned. Aaron's magic was growing stronger, and if allowed to continue, Aaron could become a serious threat to his plans.
In a desperate attempt to end the battle, Laufey ordered a full-on assault on Aaron.
Aaron, feeling the pressure, quickly realized his next move: he needed to escape and gather more power. He created dozens of duplications to distract the titans while he opened a portal to the Fountain of Wisdom, absorbing magical energy to replenish his strength.
Loki, noticing Aaron's sudden disappearance, assumed the worst—Aaron had abandoned them. But before Loki could fully process it, something unexpected happened.
A golden portal appeared behind Laufey.
"A gift for you, Laufey!" Aaron's voice echoed as he threw an object towards the Frost Titan leader.
Laufey stared at the strange object, its large letters reading "Dongfeng Express, the mission must be achieved!"
Laufey blinked, confused. Before he could react, Aaron unleashed another magical attack, clearing the field of titans, and whisked everyone away through the portal.
Laufey, realizing something was amiss, panicked. The battlefield was empty.
With a heavy stomp, he ordered his forces to retreat, but a pulse of magical energy began to build.
"Damn Asgard, you tricked me!" Laufey cursed.
But the explosion that followed tore through everything in its path, decimating Laufey's forces. The shockwave swept through the valley, melting the mountains and destroying everything in its wake.
Loki, witnessing the devastation from afar, was stunned.
"My god… Aaron, what did you just do?"
