A storm beast want me to cook

As the caravan traveled through the vast plains, Mukouda continued using his Online Supermarket to cook meals that far surpassed anything the other travelers had ever tasted. The rich aroma of grilled meat, warm rice, and flavorful soup filled the air, making the mercenaries and merchants salivate every evening.

"Oi, Mukouda! What kind of magic did you use to make this food so damn good?!" one of the mercenaries asked, stuffing his face with another bite of grilled beef.

Mukouda laughed nervously. "Ah, well… let's just say it's a special cooking technique from my homeland."

The caravan leader, Werner, wiped his mouth with a satisfied sigh. "With food like this, you'll never go hungry in this world. If you ever need protection, just say the word."

Mukouda felt relieved knowing that his cooking skills were winning people over. However, his peace didn't last long.

Late one night, as everyone settled in for rest, the guards on night watch suddenly froze.

A deep, bone-chilling howl echoed through the plains.

A gust of wind blew through the camp, rustling the tents. Then—massive glowing eyes appeared in the darkness.

The guards gripped their weapons. "T-That's…!"

One of them swallowed hard. "A Legendary Fenrir…!"

Mukouda, half-asleep, jolted up. "A WHAT NOW?!"

The creature stepped into the firelight.

Standing over five meters tall, its midnight-black fur shimmered under the moonlight, and its deep blue eyes glowed with intelligence. Sparks of lightning crackled faintly around its paws as it gazed at the camp like a predator eyeing prey.

Mukouda froze in terror. "This is how I die."

The mercenaries scrambled to their feet, drawing swords and readying spells. "We don't stand a chance against that thing!"

The giant wolf, Kaelgyr, the Storm Fang, let out a low, rumbling growl.

"It appears… that I have found something interesting," Kaelgyr spoke, its deep voice echoing through the clearing.

Mukouda's breath caught in his throat. "It can talk?!"

The wolf's piercing gaze locked onto Mukouda.

"You. Human. I have been drawn here by a powerful aroma… Tell me, what is that divine scent?"

Mukouda, still shaking, barely managed to process what was happening.

"Uh… A-Are you talking about… my cooking?"

The wolf's ears twitched. "Yes. I have never smelled such a thing before. If you do not wish to be devoured, you will feed me."

The guards and mercenaries stared at Mukouda in shock.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Mukouda waved his hands. "You're saying you're not here to eat us… just my food?!"

Kaelgyr huffed. "I do not consume weaklings like you. But if your food is as divine as it smells, I demand a taste."

Mukouda's survival instincts screamed at him. Either cook… or get eaten.

"R-Right away! Just give me a second!"

Scrambling, Mukouda activated Online Supermarket, ordering the best meat he could find. He quickly seasoned it and grilled it over the fire, the rich scent of butter, garlic, and sizzling beef filling the air.

Kaelgyr's nose twitched. "Mmm…"

After what felt like an eternity, Mukouda presented a large plate of juicy, freshly grilled steak.

Kaelgyr lowered his massive head, sniffed the plate, then took a bite.

A moment of silence.

Then—Kaelgyr's eyes widened.

"This… This is…!"

Mukouda held his breath.

A deep rumbling growl came from the wolf's throat.

Mukouda flinched. "W-Was it bad?!"

Kaelgyr suddenly threw his head back—AND HOWLED IN SATISFACTION.

"DELICIOUS!!!"

The sheer force of his howl shook the ground, sending a gust of wind through the camp.

The mercenaries stumbled backward, dumbfounded.

The legendary wolf wagged his massive tail, eyes practically sparkling.

"This is worthy of a god's feast! Human, you shall now be my master!"

Mukouda's brain short-circuited. "H-Huh?!"

Kaelgyr lowered his head. "I, Kaelgyr, the Storm Fang, vow to serve you in exchange for this food. From now on, my strength is yours."

The mercenaries and guards were in absolute shock.

"A-A Fenrir is offering a contract?! This has never happened before!"

Werner stared at Mukouda like he had just tamed a dragon.

Mukouda gulped, still shaking.

"S-So… You're saying… You won't eat me?"

Kaelgyr huffed. "Fool. Why would I eat my chef? Now, prepare more food!"

Mukouda felt like crying.

This was not how he imagined his life going.
