Derrick's POV
The door of my chambers was pushed open, and I looked up, expecting Felix to walk in with Nathan. But instead, he was alone.
A frown spread across my face, and I didn't bother to hide it.
"Where is he?" I asked, my voice low, laced with barely restrained irritation.
Felix stood stiffly, avoiding my eyes at first. Then he looked up and said, "He refused."
My jaw clenched. "What?"
"He refused to apologize," Felix repeated, firmer this time. "He is just being stubborn."
The silence in the room thickened like a storm cloud. I stood slowly, the chair scraping back with a screech against the stone floor.
"After everything," I growled. "After I gave him the chance—he spits in my face?"
Felix didn't speak, but his expression was tense.
