Chapter 3

The man smile at his wife words

"Do you still remember when you first met her"

They flashback to where she was still five year old,

A man and a little girl were walking on the street,

" Do you like the walk" he ask

"Yes" she reply,

He look around while she is kicking her feet

"Uncle I want ice cream" she stop, points at the ice cream truck,

He look,

"Alright let's get the ice cream",

She cheer,

He take her to the ice cream truck,

"One chocolate chip ice cream and a lemon for me" he order,

"Sure" the ice cream man nod

A woman come out of nowhere,

"Hey"

"Hi" they greet,

She look down and see the girl, amaze by her cuteness

"Oh my aren't you adorable" she kneel, touch her face

"Leave me" the girl push her hand away,

"Oh my, don't worry ,why don't I buy you more ice cream" she smile,

The girl think for a minute

"No" she disagree

"Wow you are too complicated" she stand

"Sorry about that " the man apologize

"No prob"she giggle,

The ice cream man bring out their ice cream,

"One chocolate chip for the lady"

The girl take her ice cream

"Thank you " she smile

"And a lemon for both the lady and man"

The man gave them two ice cream

"Thanks "

They take it, look at each other and laugh

"You like lemon" he ask

"No, I just come here and say nothing" she tease

He laugh, the five years old girl frown, the lady look at the girl

"Why don't you come over at my store, I'm sure she will like it" the lady said

"Sure" the man agree

"No I don't want to " the girl disagree, she lick her ice cream,

The man kneel

"Cherish let's just go and see okay, if you don't like it, I will take you to the amusement park"

She think for some minute

"Sure"she agree

"Alright let's go"

The lady take them to a store full of indoor playground,

Cherish could not resist the temptation

"I want to play" she point at the slide

Her uncle smile

"I thought you don't want to come here" he tease

The five years old girl frown, folding her arms

The lady and her uncle laugh

"Sure" he agree

"Yeah"

She run to the direction while her uncle and the lady sit on a near by table,

A group of children stop her,

"Hey where do you think your going" a boy ask

"I want to play" she answer, pointing to the slide

"You can't play here, it for big kids"

Cherish feel disgust

"I don't want to play anymore" she turn to leave

"Hey where are you going"

One of them pull her hair

"Leave me" she scream,

She turn and hit him on his face, the other come but she beat them,

"Don't try this again" she warn

"Mummy!!"one of the boy yell

A woman run then the rest of them follow the yell and their mothers run to the scene, they see their children on the floor crying, holding their face, Cherish stand there watching

" What is the matter"one of the mom ask

"Mummy this girl hit me" one of the boy said, pointing at Cherish

"Why did you do that?"his mom ask,

Cherish fold her arms

"Really, so you don't want to tell your mum the truth, bully" she said

"Hey who are you calling bully, where is your manners" his mom shout,

"I'm sure her mom didn't teach her some manners" one of the mom said,

Cherish stand there crying,

She remember her mom

"Mummy"she cry

" Hey why are you calling your mum, apologize such a disappointing child" one of the mum said,

Mr Zehng and the lady heard her cry and run to there,

"Apologize you little brat"one of the mom false her

"Leave me" she pull away

"Hey see this mogo apologize" she yell

"Hey" a lady yell,

They all look except Cherish

"Who are you calling names"she walk to Cherish and hold her

"Who are you?"one of the mum ask,

The lady smile

"Well you see I am the CEO of this building, if you don't know Miss Li" she introduced herself,

"And why are you calling my daughter names" she frown,

The anger in her began to boil

"Your child, " the woman scoff

"If you are really Miss Li prove it and prove she is your daughter"

Miss Li look at them

"Alright guards" she yell

A group of huge men came

"Yes Miss Li" they bow,

she look over her shoulder then back to the ladies, she fold her arms,

"Please escort this people to the door and yes then mark this children faces I don't want them to ever come near this place, they are band from here" she command

"yes ma'am" they bow

They walk towards them

"Wait,"

She walk up to them,

"If you ever come near my child again or even look at her, I will make sure you all regret what you did"

Her warning made the mums scared

"Take them away"

The security guard lead them outside,

Mr Zehng saw the guard passing with some people, he walk to the direction,

Miss Li turn and see her crying, kneels

"Are you scared, I didn't mean to do it",

Cherish look at her

"oh child"she wipe her face

Cherish hug her,

"Oh my, don't cry" Miss became emotional,

"Thank you auntie"

Miss Li felt so happy

"It's okay,"

Mr Zehng sees them,

Miss Li put her finger on her lips, he understands, he walk up to them and knelt

"Cherish" he call,

She remove herself from Miss Li and look at her uncle,

"I'm sorry I came late" he apologize,

Cherish smile, Mr Zehng look at confuse

"I thought you were sad" he ask

"Uncle, you don't have to come or need to come, auntie was so cool" her expression made them to laugh

"Really what did I do?"Miss Li ask

"Auntie you were like cool with the whole thing, you should know I will not call you mommy but please can you be my aunt" she gave her the puppy eyes,

Miss Li laugh

"But I just meant your uncle" she said

Cherish frown

"Hey don't frown why don't I bring you to see her" Mr Zehng suggest,

She smile

"Yes" she nod

"Okay I will be visiting" she give Cherish a hug.

The flashback end

"But she will still be my friend even if that incident does not happen" the lady boast

"I know even if it took forever, she will eventually one day give up"

They laugh.

After a long day of school,

Cherish walk out from her classroom to the entrance waiting for her Yen

"Where is that little thief" she walk up and down till

"Were you waiting for me"

She turn

"No I was ghosting you" she savage,

She see three people behind him and that smell,

' Why do they smell like wet dog' she said in her mind, made a disgusting face

"What is the matter" Yen ask

"You look ugly" she tease,

He frown and ignore

"Anyways this are my friends, this is kelvin.."

Cherish remember

"Maya, Zack and Coby" she said,

Yen look at her suspiciously, his friends too did

"How do you know" he ask

"No reason I just heard they names from someone" she eye him

"Well non of my business let's just get going"

Cherish look at his friends first, giving them a warning sign, her eyes turn red, Maya, Kelvin Zack and Cody gulp

"Hey don't do that let's go" he pull her

Her come back normal

" She look familiar" Kelvin whisper

"I can smell it, they a similarity between she and Cherish" Zack said

"But how can she, she is not as cool as her" Maya said

" Yeah let's not judge, beside her warning is scary"

They follow them home.

Yen park the car, Cherish did not waste time and come down

"Slow pock"she made a high pitch sound and went inside,

Yen smile

"Sorry about that, well she is my older cousin, but I will like to tease her as my younger sister because she is the only child and I love being around her" he explain

"It's okay we know how that feels" the boys look at Maya

"What"she ask

"Alright come down" Yen said

They come down and walk inside

"Make yourself a home please don't touch anything that need to be touch and if you are hungry lunch will be ready in a few minutes I will go and freshing up" he walk up stairs, ses Cherish coming out from her room, they made funny faces before passing each other, Cherish ignore the guest and walk to the dinning,

"Weng"she call

"Yes ma" a maid walk out from the kitchen

"I will need chocolate chip cookies, some for me and the guests and give me food" she command

"Yes ma" she bow and walk back in

In the sitting room, those guest hear what she said

" I can't wait to have some cookies"Maya feel excited

"But she is a bit rude " Zack said

"Yeah" they agree

"Guys you have to see this" Coby yell softly,

They run to the direction of his voice and see him standing

" What is that" Maya ask

They walk to see a picture,

"No wonder she smell familiar, she is her, we found her " Zack said,

They hear a footsteps

"We need to go"

They run out of there.

Cherish finish her lunch

"Now that is satisfying " she said, smiling

"Thanks Weng and please prepare lunch for Yen and his guest" she command

"Yes ma"

Cherish stand up

"And please bring some clothes for our guest" she look over her shoulder

"Sure"she answer,

Cherish walk away to the sitting room where she see her guest eating the cookies,

"O my gosh these are the best cookies I ever tasted"

Cherish watch them and smile, Yen see her and his friends

"Really"he roll his eyes and walk to her

"What are you looking at" he ask,

She squat her eyes and turn

"None of your business" she reply

"Aren't you supposed to be practicing your activities" he reminds her

"I know"

The guest heard them, turn

"Can we join" Maya ask

"No" Cherish flip her hair and walk out

"Sorry about that, hey let's starts with homework" he suggest

"Yeah let's begin"

They each take their bags open it and bring out a book, after some minutes later, Mrs Weng enter, with a tray of food and some clothes, Zack, kelvin , Coby and Maya smell it, they stop

"Food" they drool

Yen stop and look at them

"Really" he sigh

"Let's take a break" Maya try her best to control hersel

"Sure " Yen agree

They become delightful,

"Let's go to the dinning" Yen lead them to the dinning,

They see different dishes, Kelvin, Maya, Coby and Zack ran to the table

"This is so delicious" they said,

Yen watch them, irritation fill his eyes, but they are his friends

"If you guys are so hungry, why don't you sit and eat"

They sit and begin to dig in, Weng just laugh at their behavior, she walk up to Yen with a plate

" Cherish ask me to make it" she whisper but Maya, kelvin Zack and Cody could still hear them,

"She said I should prepare that for them and this for you" she give him a plate of roasted chicken wings

"Thanks" he nod

"Don't thanks me it all your sister" she left.

In a building far away from the house, a girl was practicing self defense, archi, dancing and some other things. She just finish her self defense classes

"Nice work Cherish" the teacher compliment

"Thanks Mr Soo" she walk to the bathroom,

"How about we go on a date" he suggest,

She ignore him and enter the bathroom. Cherish is the only student there, Mr Soo look blank at her

"Did I say something wrong" he whisper.

In the bathroom,

Cherish remove her clothes

"He wants to go out with me" she talk to herself, she put on a new dress

"He should always mind his business" she frown.
