Chapter 4

A few hours after everyone retired to bed, Samantha stayed around cleaning and arranging some things left before going to bed.

The truth was that she was hoping Ryder would come out of his library so she could see his face but he didn't. When she was done, she just pulled her lazy legs up the stairs towards her room since she was the only maid who didn't stay in the maid's quarters.

She got to her room, showered, and put a shirt on her panties before jumping on her bed.

A few hours later, she was already deep in her sleep when the door to her room opened. The intruder walked in slowly, trying not to wake her up til she got to her bed.

Ryder was done with his work, but it was past twelve.

"She must have gone to bed, "He mouthed, scratching the scalp of his hair with his nails.

"It's best if she sleeps, "He told himself.

But a few minutes later, he found himself tip-toeing to her room and squatting beside her bed, staring at her face. It was like an addiction. Her face, her closed eyes, her lashes, her neck, her jawline, and her pretty sleepy smile.

"Why are you so beautiful?"he said still staring at her with a smile on her face.

He smiled again before bringing his hand to her hair to brush it from her face. After staring at her enough he got up to leave but was held back by tiny hands.

"You're leaving?"She asked sleepily.

"Am sorry, did I wake you?"He asked her with concern before squatting beside her bed again.

"I just came to check up on you,"

"So you're leaving," She said with a frown.

"Should I stay?"

Instead of answering, she moved, creating enough space for him to sleep.

"Come," She said stretching her hands like a baby.

"How can I refuce my sweetheart," Ryder joked before joining her.

Wrapped in each other's arms, filling their nose with their scent felt like a dream that wouldn't last long. Ryder stared down at Samantha's closed eyes with a proud smile on his face. He had found her, the right woman for him.

Will she still stay when she finds out everything about you? He pondered within himself.

Samantha smiled into his chest before pressing her face on it. She blushed at the thought of the youngest billionaire being her man.

"Are you that happy?"Ryder asked noticing her constant grin and smiles.

"Hmmm," She said blushing.

He moved away from their tight hug and then raised her head so he could look at her directly.

"I've always been yours and you mine, but it happened a little later than I expected," He said, giving her lips light pecks.

From where Hailey lay, she was sweating profusely, and her whole body was aching.

The three guys around her were busy wearing their clothes not minding what they had done to her.

"Will you do the job?"She asked weakly.

"Yes. Remember, it expires in one week, but if you want to renew the contract..." The one who looked like the leader said, funnily moving his hips, making the remaining two guys laugh before walking away.

"Bastard!!"She cursed in anger.

She had made the deal with them so they'll do her part of the heavy duty.

"Stupid, stupid Samantha!!"She screamed putting on her clothes.

The ringing of her phone made her angrier but the caller was someone who shouldn't be calling her.

Caller ID: Boss Lady

"Why is she calling?"She asked herself bitterly but picked up the call anyway.

"Hello, ma'am,"

"Hailey!! Where in the devil's name have you been? Anyway, I am back," She screamed from the other end.

"What!! Back, when, why? Thought you said you were going for good," Hailey asked shaking in fear and hatred.

"Don't question me. Hope my man is doing great," She said giggling.

After she was done, she just hung up, not waiting for Hailey to welcome her.

"Why? Why? Why? Why am I being tormented like this? First, it was Samantha; now it's Beatrice, "She snapped, pulling her hair in the process.

Since it was a Sunday most maids weren't on duty. The only thing that needed to be done on a Sunday was mainly cooking, so Ryder held Samantha against her will, urging them to cuddle more.

"Stop!!"She said, trying to pull away from his kisses, but he held her in place.

"Mason!!"She called again making him look at her.

"Please someone might find us. What if the maids already know you didn't sleep in your room?"She asked worriedly.

"Baby you're the only one worried about being caught. If that happens I'll tell them I slept with my woman." He told her making her blush harder.

"Five more minutes, "He begged cutely making her laugh and giving in.

Hailey was still lamenting when she got to the main building. There, she met Madam Charlotte instructing some maids.

"Where's Samantha?"She asked the maids.

"I haven't seen her today," One of them answered.

"Should I wake her? She's usually not late, "The other suggested.

"No, no it's fine. She might be a little stressed from work last night. She slept pretty late."She told them with concern in her voice.

The two nodded before returning to their work.

"Samantha isn't here and you just want to leave her alone?"Hailey asked walking towards Madam Charlotte.

"Good morning to you too, Hailey, "She greeted, not minding her arrogant remark.

Hailey rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"I'll go call her if you don't want to since you're not capable," She told her walking towards the stairs.

"Instead of Samantha, why don't you call the boss? He should be in his room," Madam Charlotte said making Hailey smile widely.

Her pace increased as she made her way upstairs. Her heart was racing, and unconsciously, she started brushing her hair with her fingers, not looking at u anymore.

When she felt comfortable with herself, she then looked up, but what she saw left her shut on her track, her mouth wide and her whole body stiff.

Samantha was in Ryder's arms and they were kissing passionately. The couple didn't even notice her presence they just continued eating each other's lips.

Since she was noticed. She turned around and left in a hurry. Thankfully Madam Charlotte and the other maid weren't present.

With tears in her eyes, she ran to the maid's quarter and into her room.

"Samantha!!"She cried.

After crying for an hour, she took her phone, dialing the only number she felt could help.

"Hello, Ma'am,"

"What do you want?"

"There's someone you need to meet. You might wanna hurry else you'll be losing from all angles," She said with a slay smile on her face.

"That's why I left you there,"

"Am on my way," she said hanging up.

"You don't know what's coming for you!!" Hailey said hatefully looking at her window.
