The crisp sound of slaps continued to echo through the cave as Qiu Bai kept smacking the Ancient Geovishap face.
After a while, the slapping noises gradually ceased.
Inside the cave, the massive body of the Geovishap trembled violently.
Its swollen face twitched, and its huge, teary eyes stared blankly.
"Had enough?"
"Still feeling cranky from your nap?"
Qiu Bai stood on the Geovishap face, looking down at the pitiful beast with a grin.
The Geovishap frantically shook its enormous head, signaling its complete surrender.
"Good. Behave yourself from now on."
"Next time, it won't just be a few slaps."
Qiu Bai nodded in satisfaction, watching the once-mighty creature now displaying almost human-like expressions.
With that, he hopped off its body, clapped his hands together and smirked.
"All done."
"Time to report back to Ningguang."
A small glimmer appeared in Qiu Bai palm as he summoned an Yin-Yang Jade Stone.
Holding it against his ear like a phone, he made the call.
Meanwhile, at Liyue Qixing Headquarters
Ningguang was currently reviewing the average income of Liyue Harbor's citizens when the Yin-Yang Jade Stone on her desk began ringing.
She immediately put down the document and picked up the jade stone.
"Hello~ Ningguang speaking."
"It's settled. I've also erased some memories from the Millelith to avoid panic."
Qiu Bai calm voice came through the jade stone.
"Understood."
"Thank you, Immortal Lord."
Hearing that the issue was resolved, Ningguang let out a relieved sigh.
"The cause of the tremors was a massive Ancient Geovishap."
"But don't worry. I managed to 'convince' it with my impeccable negotiation skills. No more earthquakes."
Qiu Bai said with a playful smile as he held the jade stone to his ear.
"An Ancient Geovishap?"
"I didn't expect such a massive one to still exist within Liyue's borders…"
Ningguang tapped her chin thoughtfully, slightly surprised by the revelation.
"Anyway, I'm hanging up now, Ningguang."
"If any other problems come up, just call me."
Qiu Bai voice came through one last time.
"Then I'll trouble the Immortal Lord again in the future."
"Liyue is ever grateful."
As soon as Ningguang finished speaking, the call ended with a soft beep.
"Phew~ I wonder where Lord Immortal is right now."
"If only he would take a position among the Liyue Qixing, it would make things so much easier."
Ningguang looked at the documents on the table and sighed.
But since this is the era of humanity, she figured she should handle what she could on her own.
It was best not to bother Immortal Lord unnecessarily.
In Tianqiu Valley, inside a massive cave.
Qiu Bai turned to look back, and the ancient geovishap, resembling a husky, nodded.
Then he walked out of the cave, glancing at a few Millelith soldiers lying on the ground.
With a flick of his hand, a few streams of divine white light entered their bodies.
With another wave he replace their memories, then casually left while humming a tune.
"Huh? Why are we here?"
"Did we overwork ourselves?"
One Millelith soldier held his head, slowly getting up, and asked the one beside him.
"Let's report back to the captain first."
"We've been investigating for two days and haven't found a single clue."
The soldier sighed and spoke to his comrades.
The group of Millelith then headed in the direction of Liyue Harbor.
Walking down the road, Qiu Bai hummed a tune and vanished with a teleport.
He appeared in a secluded area of Liyue Harbor and walked toward the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.
"Hehe, better let them know I'm back."
"Judging by the time, it's almost time to head to Inazuma too."
Qiu Bai smiled slightly and pushed open the door to the funeral parlor.
"I'm back."
Qiu Bai pushed the door open and stepped inside.
"Welcome back, old friend."
"It's been a while since we last saw you."
Zhongli sat on a stool sipping tea and greeted Qiu Bai as he entered.
"Big Brother, Qiu Yue missed you!"
Qiu Yue ran up and hugged Qiu Bai tightly.
Qiu Bai smiled and patted her head.
"Yo, isn't this the great guest consultant, Qiu Bai?"
"What? You finally decided to come back?"
Hu Tao looked at Qiu Bai with a hint of exasperation in her tone.
"Haha, I took a little trip around Mondstadt recently."
"That's why I've been gone for so long."
Qiu Bai explained with a smile as he looked at Zhongli and Hu Tao.
"The land of wind... So you met that bard."
"I can even smell the alcohol from you."
Zhongli sipped his tea and smiled at Qiu Bai.
"Yeah, I met him. Still the same as ever."
"A complete drunkard, through and through."
Qiu Bai chuckled and waved his hand.
"By the way, Master Hu, I'll be heading to Inazuma soon."
"So I probably won't be back for a while."
He looked at Hu Tao with a smile and nodded.
"Inazuma?"
"Isn't that place on lockdown? How are you going to get in?"
Hu Tao, leaning over the table, looked at Qiu Bai with a puzzled expression.
"I have my ways."
"Besides, the second young master of the Feiyun Commerce Guild asked me to deliver something over there."
Qiu Bai explained to the still-confused Hu Tao.
"That's great!"
"Qiu Bai, Qiu Bai! Help me promote Wangsheng Funeral Parlor while you're over there, okay?"
Hu Tao eyes lit up the moment she heard Qiu Bai could go to Inazuma.
She rushed over, her plum-blossom-shaped eyes wide as she stared at him eagerly.
"Ahem… Sure, Master Hu."
Qiu Bai twitched his lips and gave a soft cough in response.
"So, when are you planning to leave?"
Hu Tao looked at Qiu Bai, practically hoping he'd leave for Inazuma right away and start advertising.
"I'm planning to head out in a couple of days."
"Still need to finalize a way in, after all."
Qiu Bai smiled and waved his hand casually.
"Big Brother, was Mondstadt fun?"
"Qiu Yue wants to go too."
Qiu Yue looked up from Qiu Bai arms, blinking her pretty eyes.
"Hehe, if you're interested,"
"you can have Zhongli take you there for a visit sometime."
Qiu Bai laughed and glanced at Zhongli.
"Indeed."
Zhongli nodded in agreement.
"Then it's settled! Mister Zhongli, take me to Mondstadt in a few days!"
"No backing out!"
Qiu Yue looked at Zhongli with her sparkling eyes and said with a bright smile.
"Haha, of course not."
"It's been quite a while since I last saw that bard."
Zhongli chuckled and nodded again.
"Sigh, alright, alright."
"With those five helpers around, I can give you all a few days off."
"But I'm saying this now, if you're going to have fun take me too!"
Hu Tao widened her eyes at the two of them grinning.
With Qiu Bai promoting business in Inazuma and herself promoting it in Mondstadt it was a win-win!
"If the Director wishes to go, then let's all go together."
Zhongli looked at the lively Hu Tao and nodded with a smile.
"It's getting late. Let's all get some rest."
Qiu Bai smiled at everyone in the room and nodded.
Outside, the moon had risen into the night sky and one by one, the lights of Liyue Harbor began to flicker on.
