Chapter 11- Be my mate

Waldo's words dropped into the small, dimly lit room like a bomb. Sean even forgot the pain in his body, while Pete and the others stood frozen in place, all wide-eyed, staring at Waldo. The fear in their hearts began to spread like wildfire...

Regina blinked in a daze, her eyes filled with confusion as she studied the cold, dark king-like figure before her. Furrowing her brow, she thought to herself, *He can't be talking about me, can he?* Though she felt a slight sense of familiarity with him, she didn't know this man at all...

"…alpha… you mean... are you saying...?" Pete finally snapped back to reality, his voice trembling uncontrollably, his face turning ashen. "You're saying… Regina… she… she is your mate?"

Waldo observed Regina's surprised expression, his smile deepening. However, that smile never reached his eyes.

He shifted his gaze from Regina's face to Pete, his tone cold and menacing as he casually asked, "What... is there a problem?"
