Chapter 40- too much blood

The sound of cracking joints echoed through the air, followed by a fist cutting through the wind like a blade, striking straight toward the man… 

The man's expression remained unchanged. He lifted his hand effortlessly, blocking the incoming punch. Then, with a cold sneer tugging at his lips, he turned his gaze to Carey. Just as Carey launched another attack, the man raised his leg and delivered a swift, merciless kick to his underarm. 

"Ugh!" Carey grunted in pain as his body was sent flying backward, crashing onto the cold, hard ground. 

The man cast a dispassionate glance downward before flicking his wrist. The coat in his hand soared through the air and landed precisely over Regina, shielding her exposed body from the harsh light.
