As he spoke, Harvey's gaze never wavered from Waldo. He studied the man before him, only a couple of years younger, but the aura around him was far more dangerous. His voice was cool, almost detached, "I'm afraid… Waldo will have to come along as well."
Waldo let out a low chuckle, a sound that was both mocking and resigned, as though he had already anticipated this. His voice, deep and resonant like a growl, slid through the air. "I'm afraid… I don't have time for that."
With a slow, deliberate motion, Waldo leaned closer to Regina, his breath warm against her ear. "Renee, let's go home."
His words hung in the air, the warmth of his breath like a predator's promise. Regina shuddered violently, the sensation sending a wave of cold down her spine. Every part of her body felt frozen, like prey caught in a wolf's unyielding gaze.
