"Sarah, it's been so long. How... how have you been? Ah, about what happened before, I was in the wrong!"
Chad glanced at Dashiell, a flash of jealousy in his eyes. He smiled and waved his hand dismissively at Dashiell.
"I know I don't stand a chance anymore, and I'm not trying to ruin your relationship. I just hoped that Sarah, considering our two years together, might help me secure a position at your company."
Chad claimed he didn't want to disrupt my relationship with Dashiell, yet he kept reminiscing about how wonderful our two-year relationship had been.
