I truly hadn't misjudged – Jane had no intention of letting me off the hook.

Not only did she show up at the company entrance daily, right on schedule, to put on her emotional performances.

She also staked out the hotel where I often conducted business meetings, trying to sabotage my projects.

To temporarily avoid her, I put all my work on hold, doing my utmost to steer clear of any encounters with her.

I thought that if I didn't show up, Jane would tire of her antics after a few days and settle down.

But I never expected she'd start livestreaming.

She pushed John in a wheelchair, standing at the company entrance, playing the victim. She claimed I had betrayed and abandoned her because I resented her repaying John's kindness by taking care of him.

She said she was willing to accept my marital infidelity, as long as I gave her a chance to reconcile.

In the livestream, she recounted John's kindness in raising her, snot and tears flowing freely.
