Three days later, I saw Jane again, in the house I had left for her.

At this moment, she had completely lost the arrogant air she had when cursing me in her livestream.

There were several new bruises on her face, and the room was in a state of disarray.

"Honey, you're back."

Jane's eyes lit up when she saw me. She quickly pushed the pile of dirty clothes on the sofa aside, gesturing for me to sit down.

I refused her request and stood at the doorway with my lawyer.

"Miss Miller, I'm Mr. Brown's lawyer. I need to confirm these matters with you."

The lawyer took out a long list. These were all the expenses Jane had spent on John behind my back while we were still married.

Many of these expenditures were for expensive gifts for John. In all the years we were together, she had never even given me the cheapest tie.

"Honey, we're family. Why are you being so nitpicky?"

Jane approached me with a fawning expression, but was blocked by my lawyer.
