Kai didn't immediately join Tony in the sky. Knowing Tony could handle himself, he focused on ensuring the venue was secure. Spotting Pepper in the crowd, Kai approached her.

"Pepper, you should evacuate now," Kai advised.

"But what about Tony?" she asked, concerned.

"He's got this," Kai assured her. "I'll make sure the place stays safe."

Meanwhile, outside, Vanko controlled Rhodes' suit and all the Iron Soldiers, sending them airborne to pursue Tony.

"Tony, Tony! I've got a target!" Rhodes' voice crackled through Tony's comm.

"Who's the target?" Tony asked.

"It's you!"

The moment Rhodes finished speaking, his minigun fired wildly. Tony spun into a spiral, dodging the spray of bullets.

"Tony, I'm right behind you!" Rhodes shouted.

While Tony evaded pursuit in the sky, chaos continued back at the venue.

The grounded Iron Soldiers that couldn't fly began menacing the crowd. Seeing this, Kai sprang into action. With a flick of his hand, he used his spatial magic to disassemble several Iron Soldiers, reducing them to harmless scrap piles in the corner.

Nearby, a young boy wearing an Iron Man mask mimicked Tony's palm cannon pose, aiming directly at an Iron Soldier.

A woman nearby screamed, grabbing Kai's attention. He turned just in time to see the Iron Soldier preparing to shoot the child. Kai teleported to the scene, dismantled the machine in seconds, and stood protectively beside the boy.

The woman ran over, gathering the boy in her arms.

"Peter, are you okay?" she asked.

Kai overheard her words and glanced at her familiar face. -Peter Parker?- he thought.

"Thank you so much for saving my nephew," the woman said gratefully.

"You're welcome. Now get him out of here quickly," Kai urged.

As they hurried away, Peter tugged on her sleeve.

"Aunt May, he disappeared!" Peter exclaimed in awe.

May smiled, gently placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Peter, don't tell anyone about what you saw today," she warned.

"Okay, Aunt May. I promise!"

Meanwhile, Justin Hammer panicked backstage.

"The software's been hijacked!" one of his technicians reported. "Vanko's got total control!"

Pepper, having followed Hammer backstage, demanded answers.

"What's going on here?"

Hammer tried to dodge her questions, signaling security to intervene.

Before they could act, Kai appeared behind Hammer, seizing him by the collar.

"Where's Ivan Vanko?" Kai demanded.

"Wh-what? How do you know?" Hammer stammered.

"Don't worry about that. Just tell me where he is." Kai tightened his grip.

"He's at my company!" Hammer choked out.

Kai took Pepper to safety, leaving her in Happy's care before heading to Hammer's facility.

Meanwhile, Tony was still dodging Rhodes and the Iron Soldiers.

"Sir, remote reboot isn't possible," Jarvis reported.

Tony's suit buzzed with an incoming call — it was Kai.

"Hey, Kai," Tony greeted, still twisting through the sky. "Kinda busy right now."

"Oh? Don't you want control over those Iron Soldiers?"

"You can fix that?" Tony asked, surprised.

"Yeah. I've got a friend," Kai said smugly.

Before searching for Vanko, Kai had called the manor and asked Gear for help.

"Master, their program is impressive — but it's still no match for mine," Gear had said confidently.

"Good. Shut them down," Kai instructed.

Now, on the phone with Tony, Kai grinned.

"All the other Iron Soldiers are down," Kai explained. "Just Rhodes' suit is still moving."

"Got it. I'll handle Rhodes. You take out Vanko," Tony said.

Tony pivoted in the air, blasting Rhodes with a repulsor shot that sent them both tumbling into a nearby garden. The two suited men squared off, preparing to fight.

Meanwhile, Kai arrived at Hammer's company. Ignoring the locked doors, he teleported inside.

Guards rushed to intercept him, but Kai dispatched them with swift strikes and continued forward.

Inside, Vanko spotted Kai on the security feed.

"Looks like Stark brought backup," Vanko muttered. Grinning, he activated his custom whip armor, suiting up for the fight ahead.
