T - Virus

After seeing the comments section, Kai was really amused and confused when he found himself being called a wizard.

At this time, Kai received a call from Tony.

"Hey, Kai! Oh, that's not right!"

Kai was puzzled. "What's wrong? What's wrong?"

"I should call you 'Wizard' now!"

Hearing Tony teasing him about his new title, Kai could only smile bitterly and say, "I didn't expect that, without even noticing, they confirmed my title in the short video, and it's 'Wizard.'"

"Hahaha, Wizard Kai!" Tony laughed.

"But the problem is that the name 'Wizard' is already deeply rooted in people's minds. Even if you want to change it, it's very likely that no one will agree with it. So, you can only be called a wizard. Hahahaha."

As Tony spoke, he couldn't help laughing again.

Kai thought about it and realized Tony was right. It was difficult to change now, so he accepted it. After some time, as he got used to it, Kai found that the title was actually quite fitting and was well received by people.

Just after hanging up with Tony, Ethan also called.

After Kai answered, he asked, "What's up? Something you want to talk about?"

"Of course, Mr. Wizard!"

Pfft!

Kai spat out his tea and almost choked.

"Why are you teasing me!" He didn't expect Ethan to call him just to talk about the title.

"Okay, okay, no more jokes. I actually wanted to ask you about the details of the battle."

Kai then explained everything in detail. As he described the New York battle, Ethan's breathing gradually became heavier.

"I envy you guys with superpowers. When faced with an invasion, you can stand up, fight back, and drive the invaders away."

After a pause, Ethan asked cautiously, "You mentioned before that I might also be able to gain abilities..."

Kai immediately understood what he meant and explained, "Oh, I get what you're asking. But you'll have to wait a bit longer. There's been no breakthrough yet. Once we succeed, I'll call you first."

"Alright, then it's settled. You must tell me first when it's ready."

"No problem."

After hanging up, Kai thought about the serum project that hadn't made any progress. "I wonder when it'll finally yield results."

Just as he was thinking about it, the system's voice suddenly rang out.

"Ding, congratulations to the host for surpassing 1,000 reputation points. A reward package has been distributed to the system space. Please check it."

Kai: "Oh, another reputation milestone?"

"Yes, after recent events, your reputation has increased and officially broken the 1,000 mark."

Rubbing his hands together, Kai said, "Alright, let's see what I got this time. Hopefully, something useful."

Following his usual ritual, he took a shower, washed his hands, and prayed, "Please be something good, please be something good!"

He whispered a few words to himself for luck, then reached out and opened the reward package.

A flash of light appeared, and the package vanished, leaving behind several small glass test tubes.

Kai looked at them closely. The test tubes contained blue and green liquids, with a curved spiral in the middle.

Seeing the familiar color of the reagent, Kai suddenly had a bad feeling. He stepped back several paces and asked the system, "Wait... is this what I think it is?"

"Of course, this is the T-Virus you're thinking of."

"Holy shit! Why the hell would you give me this?! Do you realize how dangerous it is?"

Kai felt like cursing. He couldn't believe the system had just casually handed him the T-Virus, leaving it exposed to the air.

Looking at the test tubes on the ground, he half-expected his skin to start falling off as he mutated into a zombie.

He wanted to pick them up but hesitated, fearing something catastrophic might happen. Frustrated, he questioned the system.

"System! Get rid of these right now and explain what the hell is going on!"

"This was included in the reward package, but I can't control when you receive it."

"I get it, I get it! Just deal with them first!" Kai urged.

"Are you sure you want me to dispose of them before hearing the details?" the system asked.

"What do you mean? It's the damn T-Virus! You already told me what it is!"

"Well, let me explain first."

Kai took a deep breath and listened.

"As you can see, this is the T-Virus from Resident Evil, but it's not exactly the same."

Kai frowned. "What do you mean?"

"I knew how dangerous the original version was, so I modified it before putting it in the reward package. Do you think I'm stupid?"

"Heh." Kai chuckled awkwardly and waited for the system to continue.

"I altered it so it's no longer highly transmissible and won't turn people into zombies."

"Oh? So it's basically a powerful enhancement serum?"

"Exactly. However, since I removed the negative effects, the beneficial abilities have also been weakened."

"Oh? By how much?"

"The T-Virus in your hands will only enhance endurance and vitality. If your organs are severely damaged, it will keep you in a near-death state instead of dying immediately. It also grants a minimal level of telekinesis."

"Wait, telekinesis?!" Kai suddenly found the T-Virus far more interesting.

"Don't get too excited. It's just weak telekinesis, with a very small range. Useless for someone like you."

Kai smirked. "Maybe useless for me, but extremely useful for others. If I give this to Samuel and have him combine it with Banner's serum, it could create a hybrid formula that grants both enhanced physical strength and superpowers."
