Just as Jane stepped into another space, Tony, who was far away in New York, received a notification from Jarvis.
"Sir, I have detected data anomalies on Earth similar to last time."
"Oh? Which 'last time' are you referring to?" Tony asked without looking up, busy repairing his suit.
"The time when Thor, the Asgardian god of thunder, first appeared."
Hearing this, Tony paused and looked up. "Are you sure the data is similar to when Thor arrived?"
"Yes, sir."
Tony stood up and walked to his computer, scanning the detailed data on the screen. After a quick review, he was certain—this was another anomaly worth investigating. Without hesitation, he called Kai.
"Hey, Kai. I detected an anomaly in London, and it's very similar to the one from when Thor first arrived. I think we should check it out."
"What? London?" Kai was surprised. He hadn't received any system notifications about it this time. Since he was already in London, Gear hadn't considered monitoring something so far away.
"Yeah, it's in London. I think we should head there and investigate."
"Alright, wait for me. I'll be right there."
Kai informed Grandpa that he'd be out for a while, then immediately headed to Tony's villa.
On his way there, he tried to recall any major events that had happened in London. After some thought, he finally remembered—most of Thor: The Dark World took place in London.
Kai mentally sighed. In his previous life, he hadn't watched all the Marvel movies, only a quick review of Thor 2. His memory of the plot was vague, but at least he had a rough idea of what was going on.
Once Tony finished suiting up, the two of them teleported to London. With Jarvis guiding them, they quickly located the source of the anomaly.
Meanwhile, Jane cautiously examined her surroundings in the strange new space she had entered.
Her eyes landed on a large stone pillar, from which a faint red glow emanated. Curious, she circled around it, trying to get a better look.
As she leaned in closer, almost pressing her face against it, she saw that the red glow came from swirling particles inside the pillar.
Before she could react, the particles surged outward, flowing up her arms and directly into her body.
Jane panicked, frantically patting her arms, trying to brush them off. But it was useless. The particles sank into her skin, and before she could even scream, her vision blurred, and she collapsed to the ground.
At the same time, far across the galaxy, the Dark Elf spaceship stirred from its long dormancy.
The emergence of the Aether had awakened Malekith.
"The Convergence has begun," he declared. "We must seize this opportunity."
Back in London, Tony and Kai finally tracked the anomaly to an old shipping company.
Standing outside the dilapidated building, Tony frowned. "Jarvis, are you sure this is the place?"
"Confirmed, sir."
Tony double-checked before sighing. "Alright, let's take a look."
Unlike Jane and her group, who had been cautious, Tony and Kai walked in without hesitation.
"Jarvis, scan the building."
"Sir, there are two adults and several children inside."
Exchanging glances, Tony and Kai figured the anomaly was likely near them.
As they moved forward, they spotted a large truck floating in midair. Nearby, Daisy was having a great time playing around.
When Daisy noticed them, she froze. "You—you guys? Why are you here?" She stuttered, remembering the last time she had seen Tony and Kai together—it was when Thor arrived. Seeing them again gave her a bad feeling.
Kai crossed his arms. "We detected an anomaly here and came to investigate. What about you? Why are you here?"
Meanwhile, Tony calmed the children and gathered them together. "Alright, Kai, we should send them outside. If something happens, they'll be in danger."
Daisy was about to explain that they had come because of the strange readings, but then she froze.
"Wait—what do you mean everyone is here? Jane is here too!"
Tony frowned and scanned the building again. After a moment, he shook his head.
"Looks like your Jane isn't here anymore."
Daisy didn't believe him. She ran back into the building, calling out:
"Jane? Jane, can you hear me? Where are you? Jane!"
But no answer came.
Finally, reality set in—Jane was gone.
Tony led the group outside. When they reached the stairs, Daisy suddenly stopped, recalling the strange phenomenon they had seen earlier.
She grabbed Tony's arm. "It's that thing—the teleportation anomaly! Jane must have fallen into it!"
Tony and Kai followed her gaze and saw she was pointing at the seemingly empty space in the middle of the stairs. They didn't look convinced, so Daisy bent down, picked up a rock, and threw it into the air.
To their surprise, the rock fell through the space, disappearing—only to reappear moments later, looping in an endless cycle.
"See? That's it!" Daisy said. She picked up another rock and tossed it. This time, it vanished completely.
"Sometimes things come back, sometimes they don't," she said grimly. "Jane must have fallen into a portal that she can't return from. You have to save her!"
Tony glanced at the anomaly, then flew up and carried the children outside.
Before leaving, Daisy desperately pleaded, "Please, you have to save Jane!"
Once everyone was out, Tony turned to them. "Stay here. Don't tell anyone. And don't go back inside."
With that, he returned to the anomaly, scanning it in detail.
______
Asgard.
Thor stood with Heimdall, watching the sky.
They discussed the approaching Convergence—the event that would align the Nine Realms, allowing easy travel between them. When it happened, space itself would fold, forming natural portals between worlds.
After a while, Thor finally asked about Jane.
Heimdall turned his gaze to Earth.
But this time, he couldn't see her.
