Thor saw through Loki's illusion at a glance. "Okay, Loki, put away your illusion."
Seeing that Thor had seen through it, Loki retracted the illusion, revealing the messy cell where he had vented his anger.
Loki asked, "How is Mother now?"
"She's fine now, but I know you're angry too, so I brought you something better," Thor said, piquing Loki's interest.
"Go on."
"I know you also want revenge for our mother. So, if you help me escape from Asgard, I'll give you a chance to get it."
Hearing this, Loki laughed. "You must be desperate if you're coming to me for help."
Then Loki narrowed his eyes. "What makes you think you can trust me?"
"I don't trust you. But Mother does." Thor's tone hardened. "If you betray me, I will kill you. I won't hold back anymore."
After Frigga's ordeal, Thor seemed to have changed in an instant.
Loki smirked. "When do we set off?"
It was obvious that Loki had agreed to Thor's request.
Thor secretly freed Loki, then took him toward the meeting chamber. Along the way, he called Kai and Tony. Soon, everyone gathered to finalize their secret plan—to break Jane out, escape from Asgard, and travel to the Dark World together.
Once the plan was perfected, everyone set out to execute their parts.
Sif played a crucial role—getting Jane past her guards.
When the guards entered Jane's chamber to bring her food, Sif suddenly struck, knocking them unconscious before they could react. She quickly turned to Jane and motioned for her to follow.
Meanwhile, Thor and Loki made their way to the chamber, ready to meet Jane.
Loki, having been imprisoned for so long, reveled in his temporary freedom. He kept chatting with Thor, using illusions to change his form—sometimes a soldier with a weapon, sometimes Steve Rogers with a shield, and even turning Thor into Sif at one point.
Finally, Thor had enough. With guards patrolling nearby, he yanked Loki to a pillar and pinned him against it.
Loki, seeing the approaching guards, calmed down a little and muttered, "At least give me a weapon—my dagger or something."
Thor glanced at Loki, reached down to his waist, and placed something in Loki's hand.
Loki smirked. "That's more like it. You know what's good for you."
But the moment he felt the object in his hand, he knew something was wrong. Looking down, he saw that Thor had given him… handcuffs.
Raising his shackled hands, Loki arched an eyebrow. "And what exactly is this supposed to mean?"
Thor grinned. "I know you love playing tricks."
He couldn't help but chuckle as he led Loki away.
Before long, Sif and Jane arrived. Jane immediately spotted Loki and pointed at him.
"You?"
Loki opened his mouth to introduce himself. "I'm Loki. Perhaps you've heard of—"
Smack!
Jane slapped him across the face. "That's for New York."
Loki blinked, then grinned. "I like her."
Meanwhile, Heimdall had returned to the Bifrost control room and summoned Odin.
Odin arrived and asked, "You said there was something urgent?"
Heimdall unsheathed his sword. "There has been a rebellion, Your Majesty."
Odin narrowed his eyes. "Who is it?"
Heimdall gripped his sword tighter. "Me."
Odin's guards tensed, ready to act. Just then, a soldier rushed in.
"Your Majesty! The woman has been taken!"
Odin's face darkened. He realized too late that he had fallen into their trap.
"Stop Thor! At all costs!"
The guards immediately moved out, preparing to intercept Thor.
This was when Sif and the Warriors Three stayed behind to buy time, holding off the Asgardian soldiers so Thor and the others could escape.
After a final farewell, Thor took Jane and Loki to meet Kai and Tony in the great hall. There, they boarded an abandoned Dark Elf ship.
Though Loki had experience flying such ships, Thor wasn't willing to trust him just yet. He took the controls himself, but the flight was anything but smooth. The ship veered wildly as Thor tried to avoid Asgard's defense turrets.
As they approached the Bifrost, Thor gave a quick nod to Kai.
Understanding the signal, Kai activated his ability. In an instant, he, Tony, Jane, and Loki were teleported to an Asgardian ship that had been prepared in advance.
The empty Dark Elf ship continued forward, drawing enemy fire.
Only when they were safely aboard the real ship did Loki realize the full scope of the plan. He smirked. "I've been locked up for a while, but I must say… I didn't expect you to start using strategy instead of brute force, Brother."
Then he turned to Kai. "You can teleport? There's something… familiar about that."
Before Loki could press further, Thor interrupted, handing him the ship's controls. "Now, it's up to you to get us out of Asgard."
Loki nodded, understanding the urgency. Without another word, he turned the ship toward the right.
Soon, a massive mountain loomed ahead, but Loki showed no sign of slowing down.
Thor's eyes widened. "Loki? Are you insane?"
Loki smirked. "A little."
The ship plunged straight into a hidden passage within the mountain, the turbulence shaking them violently as they passed through the spatial tunnel.
A barren wasteland.
Suddenly, a space rift tore open, and an Asgardian ship shot out, speeding across the desolate landscape before finally slowing down.
They had made it.
For now.
