Healing

----------

Then Kai used spatial energy to locate the shrapnel inside Tony's chest. Once he had pinpointed their positions, he carefully stabilized them.

Activating the power of space, he extracted all the shrapnel at once. Though Kai was meticulous, some of the fragments had been lodged in Tony's body for a long time, with certain pieces fused to the surrounding tissue.

As Pepper assisted in removing the shrapnel, she heard Tony let out a muffled groan, making her worry. However, seeing Kai's confidence, she chose not to interfere and waited for him to finish.

After placing the extracted shrapnel onto a tray, Kai took out his wand and cast a deep healing spell, treating Tony from head to toe.

Pepper watched as Kai stopped and asked cautiously, "Kai, is it done?"

Kai nodded. "Yes, it's over."

"When will Tony wake up?" she asked.

"In a few minutes. Don't worry."

True to his word, three minutes later, Tony's eyelids fluttered, and he began to wake. He first saw Pepper's concerned face before turning to Kai beside him.

Tony's first words were, "You know, that was the best sleep I've had in years."

He touched his chest and noticed the arc reactor was gone. There were no scars left behind.

Seeing Tony's reaction, Kai said, "You'll sleep just as soundly from now on. As for your chest, I've restored it completely, so if you were hoping for a battle scar, you'll be disappointed."

Tony quickly looked down, confirming Kai's words. His skin was smooth, with no trace of the reactor's former presence.

"Kai, thank you. I feel lighter than I have in years. I don't think I've ever felt this comfortable," Tony said gratefully, then turned to Pepper, who was watching him with tears in her eyes.

"Pepper, I'm fine now. Why are you crying?" Tony pulled her into an embrace.

Pepper, who had been holding back, finally let her tears fall. "These are happy tears, Tony. You're finally healed. I'm just so relieved."

Watching them, Kai quietly left the room, giving them space.

Outside, he ran into Maya. Without hesitation, she asked, "Kai, can I incorporate my Extremis virus into the serum project you assigned to Samuel?"

Kai considered for a moment before replying, "I have no objections to using the Extremis virus, but I need to emphasize something."

He looked at her seriously. "You cannot introduce it into the experiment until it's perfected. You need to eliminate all side effects before we proceed. I'll inform Samuel and Banner. Don't even think about testing it in secret. It won't work."

Understanding the gravity of his words, Maya nodded and immediately returned to the lab to refine the virus.

Not long after, Tony and Pepper emerged from the room. Tony wore his usual smug expression, while Pepper shyly avoided eye contact. Seeing Tony's demeanor, Kai smirked.

Tony straightened up under Kai's gaze, regaining his characteristic confidence. At that moment, his phone rang. After answering, his face lit up with excitement.

"Kai, Happy's awake. I'm heading to the hospital. Want to come?"

"Let's go," Kai agreed.

The two, along with Pepper, arrived at the hospital and found Happy lying in bed, watching "Downton Abbey."

Tony grinned. "Looks like you're doing just fine."

Hearing Tony's voice, Happy turned and saw them. Remembering something, he tried to speak, but Tony quickly stepped forward to reassure him.

"Relax, relax. It's taken care of. Trust me."

Seeing the sincerity in Tony's eyes, Happy finally let go of his worries and settled back into watching his show.

Tony turned to Kai. "Can you help Happy recover faster?"

"Of course." Kai nodded and used the same healing magic on Happy. Within moments, his injuries visibly healed.

Happy flexed his arm in disbelief, realizing he was completely healed. With that, Tony arranged for Happy to return to the manor to recover.

Since the Malibu villa was still under reconstruction, Tony and his family remained at the manor.

Later, wanting to surprise Harry, Tony took Kai to his house while Harry was at school. They filled the warehouse with cutting-edge experimental equipment, electronics, and even a sports car.

When Harry returned home, he was stunned by the transformation. Realizing it was Tony's doing, he walked through the warehouse, touching everything with a delighted laugh.

Meanwhile, Tony stood on the cliffside of his villa. He took the arc reactor from his chest out of a bag and examined it one last time. Then, with a final glance, he threw it into the ocean, bidding farewell to the past.

Finally, he climbed into his sports car, with the salvaged remains of Dummy trailing behind, and drove off.
