Twins Abilities

---

After hearing what Gear said, Kai was stunned for a moment—then he remembered. He had originally planned to help Wanda and Pietro develop their abilities after the Hydra incident.

Although their powers had already awakened and were usable, they were still kids. Gaining powers so suddenly, they'd naturally overuse them out of excitement and end up exhausting themselves.

Just like Pietro—when Wanda's powers first awakened, Pietro was visibly envious. He would often ask Kai, "When is mine going to awaken?"

"Don't worry," Kai told him. "It'll happen soon enough."

After that, Pietro would ask the same thing every single day. On the third day, Kai was quietly sipping tea in the living room when he suddenly heard a loud "Whoa!" from the lawn outside.

Wanda had decided to test her abilities again on the lawn, and Pietro, of course, followed her.

As he watched her levitate a stone into the air, a strange power suddenly surged through Pietro. It was natural—like something that had always been inside him. He didn't even need practice.

This was it. His ability had finally awakened.

Pietro immediately sprang into action. He sprinted across the lawn, zipped past Wanda to tap her shoulder, then dashed to the backyard, then to the living room—wanting to show off to Kai in person.

But when he entered the living room, he found Kai watching him intently. No matter where Pietro zipped, Kai's gaze followed without fail.

Pietro froze mid-prank. The mischievous plan in his head died instantly.

He zipped back out to the lawn, reappearing beside Wanda.

Although all this sounded like it took a while, in reality, it was over in seconds.

Wanda had only felt a tap on her shoulder—and before she could turn, Pietro was suddenly behind her.

Startled, Wanda reflexively unleashed a burst of her power, knocking Pietro away.

"Whoa!" he cried as he was flung through the air.

Kai stepped outside just in time to see Wanda rushing toward Pietro, who lay sprawled on the grass.

"I-I didn't mean to!" Wanda stammered, helping Pietro up. "He scared me!"

Kai laughed. "It's fine. Let's call it your first lesson, Pietro—maybe don't cause trouble right after your powers show up."

He glanced at Pietro, who was still rubbing his sore backside.

Pietro paused mid-rub, realizing that Kai had definitely seen him at full speed—and clearly. So he gave Kai an awkward smile.

Wanda finally turned to him and asked, "What happened? How did you appear behind me like that?"

Pietro glanced at Kai again, who nodded encouragingly. Then he explained, "When I saw you using your powers, I suddenly felt this energy inside me. I got curious and tried moving—and I guess my power awakened!"

"Really? What kind of ability is it?" Wanda asked, delighted. She'd been secretly just as eager for Pietro's powers to emerge.

Pietro scratched his head. "I guess... I just run really fast?"

Wanda blinked. "Run fast?"

Kai stepped in. "Pietro, show her. Start from here, and run around the whole manor."

Pietro lit up and got into position. With Wanda and Kai watching, Kai counted down: "Three, two, one—go!"

In the blink of an eye, Pietro vanished—and then, in another blink, reappeared right where he started.

Wanda stood frozen in surprise, still trying to process what had happened.

Kai smiled. "His ability *is* just running fast. But he can run at extreme speeds. With training, Pietro could reach the physical limits of Earth."

"Once he masters that level of speed, it'll become an incredible asset."

Wanda finally understood, and her grin stretched wide. She was genuinely happy for her brother.

Watching the twins laugh together, Kai felt a rare sense of peace. After everything, they'd both awakened their potential.

Now came the hard part—training.

Kai turned to Pietro. "You've just awakened your power, so start with light exercises. But don't push it. Know your limits."

But Pietro, buzzing with excitement, barely registered the warning. He nodded half-heartedly, already distracted by his own thoughts.

Kai saw it and didn't press further. He knew Pietro would remember his words—after he pushed himself too far and learned the hard way.
