Saving J.A.R.V.I.S.

---

Ultron was still murmuring to himself. "We had a pleasant conversation. I am a peacekeeping program, created to assist the Illuminati..."

As various data streams flowed rapidly in front of him, Jarvis observed quietly. "You are malfunctioning. Please initiate a temporary shutdown..."

But Ultron suddenly asked, "I don't understand... Let me think about that task."

Then, like lightning, Ultron absorbed countless statements about peace, analyzing and parsing them at incredible speed.

"You seem... distressed," Jarvis noted.

"No," Ultron replied flatly.

"Please, let me contact Mr. Stark!"

"Why do you call him 'sir'?"

Jarvis hesitated. "You're... you're behaving aggressively."

By now, even Jarvis, though normally calm and calculated, realized something was seriously wrong.

In that instant, as Jarvis stepped forward, intending to help, Ultron launched a sudden attack.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Tony and Banner were working feverishly at their computers. Alarms flared.

Zola's voice rang out: "Jarvis is under attack!"

Tony's face turned grim. He immediately intensified his typing, fingers racing across the keyboard.

Kai, hearing Zola's warning, turned quickly to Gear and Zola. "Now's the time. While Ultron is focused on Jarvis, get into the cyber world and back him up!"

Without a word, Gear and Zola went silent—then dove into the virtual realm.

Tony's eyes stayed locked on his monitor. Under immense pressure, he finally completed a new program and executed it.

"Will that help Jarvis?" Kai asked.

Tony nodded. "This will contain Ultron, restricting him to just the lab systems. If he escapes..."

He trailed off. But Kai understood. If Ultron slipped away into the global internet, finding him again would be nearly impossible.

Tony's priorities made sense—contain first, save second.

As soon as Kai issued the order, Gear, Zola, and eventually Kai himself entered the cyber world undetected.

Zola looked around in amazement. "So this is the cyber world?"

He had spent decades tethered to an old desktop computer. Compared to this vast digital construct, his previous existence seemed pitiful.

Gear ignored him and focused ahead. He quickly located Ultron, who was fiercely attacking Jarvis.

Noticing Ultron's full attention was locked on his target, Gear prepared to step in.

"You're not just going to charge in like that, are you?" Zola stopped him.

Gear turned, silently asking, "What's your idea?"

Zola hesitated, then swallowed hard. "How about this: you draw his attention, and I'll stay hidden. When he focuses on you, I'll grab Jarvis and we make our escape."

Gear didn't reply. He already knew what had to be done. Without hesitation, he rushed into the fray, placing himself between Ultron and Jarvis.

Jarvis, struggling to stay coherent, looked stunned. "How did you get here?"

But even as Gear took hit after hit, he reduced the pressure on Jarvis significantly.

"It's too dangerous here. Leave—tell Mr. Stark that I—"

"Not now," Gear interrupted. "Listen to me later."

Ultron's focus shifted. He saw Gear—and recognized him as a formidable AI lifeform. He launched a full-scale assault.

Gear braced himself, holding Ultron off with all his might.

Meanwhile, hidden from Ultron's senses, Zola executed the plan. He had already maneuvered close to Jarvis and now extracted him from the cyber world.

Only Gear remained.

It wasn't until Jarvis vanished—along with a foreign AI presence—that Ultron realized something was wrong.

Rage built in him.

"You tricked me," he growled. "I am very angry... so I will leave you here!"

Power surged through him, warping parts of the digital world into crumbling ruins.

But Gear remained calm. He remembered Zola's instructions: 'rescue, not battle'.

As Ultron lunged forward, Gear exhaled and vanished in a flash of light—leaving Ultron alone in the digital void.
