*Chapter 10: The Infiltration*
The night was dark and moonless, the perfect cover for a secret mission. Aria, Lyra, Kael, and Zephyr gathered at the edge of the forest, their eyes scanning the trees for any sign of danger.
Professor Orion handed them each a small pouch containing a map, a set of lockpicks, and a vial of potion. "This will help you sneak past the guards," they explained.
Aria took a deep breath, feeling a thrill of excitement mixed with fear. They were really doing this.
The group set off, moving stealthily through the forest. They followed the map, avoiding detection by the Shadowborn patrols.
As they approached the fortress, Aria could feel the air grow thick with dark magic. The walls loomed above them, casting long shadows in the flickering torchlight.
Lyra nodded, her eyes locked on the entrance. "I'll take care of the guards," she whispered.
Kael grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I'll handle the traps."
Zephyr nodded quietly, their eyes shining with determination. "I'll scout ahead."
Aria took a deep breath, feeling a sense of pride and camaraderie. They were in this together.
The group slipped inside, moving swiftly and silently through the corridors. They avoided detection, using their skills and teamwork to overcome every obstacle.
But as they delved deeper into the fortress, Aria began to feel a creeping sense of unease. Something was off.
Suddenly, Zephyr's voice whispered in her ear. "Aria, I've found something. You need to see this."
Aria's heart skipped a beat. What had Zephyr discovered?
