The proposal

# Chapter 25: The Proposal

Lyra's eyes seemed to bore into Eira's soul as she spoke. "I want to teach you the secrets of the ancient magic," she said. "I want to help you unlock your true potential."

Eira felt a surge of excitement mixed with trepidation. She had always been drawn to the ancient magic, but she knew that it was powerful and unpredictable.

"What do you mean by 'true potential'?" Eira asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Lyra smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "You have a gift, Eira," she said. "A gift that could change the course of history. But it's not just about the magic itself – it's about the choices you make, and the path you choose to follow."

Eira felt a shiver run down her spine. What did Lyra mean by "the path you choose to follow"? And what kind of choices would she have to make?

"I'm not sure I understand," Eira said, feeling a sense of uncertainty.

Lyra's expression turned serious. "I know you don't," she said. "But I'm willing to teach you, to guide you on your journey. Are you willing to take the first step?"

Eira hesitated, unsure of what to do. But as she looked into Lyra's eyes, she saw something there that gave her the courage to take the leap.

"Yes," Eira said, her voice firm. "I'm willing."

Lyra smiled, her eyes gleaming with approval. "Then let us begin," she said.
