The world spun violently, colors blurring together in chaotic swirls before Albus's feet finally hit solid ground. Disoriented and breathless, he stumbled forward, bracing himself against a cold stone wall. The dimly lit corridor stretched endlessly in both directions, the torches along the walls flickering weakly, as if starved of energy. Hogwarts—or what was left of it—stood before him, lifeless and empty.
"Welcome, Headmaster Albus," a mechanical voice rang out in his mind.
"What the—?!" Albus spun around in panic, searching for the source. Finding no one there, he clutched his head. "Did I hit my head or something?"
"Welcome, Headmaster Albus," the voice repeated. "This is the Hogwarts System."
"System...?" Albus mumbled, his mind spinning. "This... isn't right. Hogwarts shouldn't be empty... and..." He tried to recall how he'd arrived here but found no memories. Only fragments of his old world flickered in his thoughts—a place where Hogwarts was just a story. "Where... am I?"
"Status," he whispered instinctively. A translucent blue panel appeared before him, displaying far more than he expected:
[Hogwarts System Panel]

"That's... underwhelming," Albus muttered.
"Would you like to claim your Novice Gift Pack?" the mechanical voice chimed again.
"Yes," Albus said without hesitation.
The system panel flickered, and new information flooded in:

A rush of warmth surged through Albus's body. His mind expanded as memories of spells, techniques, and magical theory settled into place. He instinctively knew how to perform complex charms and brew intricate potions. His gaze attracted by the changes in the System Panel Curious, Albus selected 'Magic Power Level.' A brief description unfolded before him:
[Magic Power Description]
Level 1: Basic Magic (Initial Awakening / Magical Riot)
Level 2: Basic Hogwarts Graduate
Level 3: Auror-Level Magic
Level 4: Senior Auror (e.g., Alastor Moody)
Level 5: Voldemort/Dumbledore Level
Level 6: Advanced Master
Level 7: Supreme Master (Odin/Sorcerer Supreme)
"So... I've just hit Level 2," Albus muttered. "Barely enough to get by."
Next, he explored the Spells section. Each major subject had a clear progression system: Levels 1 to 7 reflected Hogwarts' seven years, with Professor-level mastery set at Level 20. "That's a lot of catching up," Albus muttered grimly.
He knew these skills... but without a wand, he was powerless.
"I need a wand... fast," Albus muttered. His heart pounded in his chest. "I'm practically defenseless."
A small leather-bound book materialized in his hands—the Book of Acceptance. Flipping through its pages, Albus felt a strange warmth emanate from the parchment. As he scanned the names, his eyes widened in shock.
"No... this can't be right," he whispered. The names of wizards and mutants alike flickered within it—familiar names like Charles Xavier, Erik Lehnsherr, and Logan.
"Mutants... they're here too?" Albus murmured. His mind reeled; he'd been transported into a world that merged both wizardry and the X-Men universe—a world he knew only from fiction. Worse still, he had no clue what timeline he was in. Was this before the X-Men were formed? During their prime? Or at a darker time altogether?
This world was far more dangerous than the Hogwarts he'd read about, and magic alone wouldn't keep him safe.
His breath grew shallow as anxiety crept in. "If I mess this up... if I can't gather strong allies... I could be wiped out before I even get started." His hand tightened on the Book of Acceptance. "I need to find Charles Xavier first. He can help... and if mutants are here, I'll need them on my side."
He explored Hogwarts for hours, finding the Great Hall empty and quiet, the staircases motionless, and the portraits dark and still. The once-bustling castle felt hollow—devoid of magic. Even the iconic principal's office stood empty, its desk bare. The castle itself seemed to recognize Albus's presence, yet lacked the energy to respond fully. Only the faint hum of magic beneath the stone walls hinted at Hogwarts' potential.
The silence gnawed at him. "So much potential... yet nothing's here," Albus muttered. "This place feels... forgotten."
He wandered the grounds next, taking in the bleak surroundings. The once-eerie Forbidden Forest seemed far too quiet, its twisted trees looming ominously in the distance. The Black Lake lay still and serene, its calm surface broken only by faint ripples. A chilling breeze swept through the grounds, carrying a sense of forgotten power that clung to the castle walls.
Sitting on a cold stone step near the courtyard, Albus found himself talking aloud. "Alright... First, I need to recruit professors. Hogwarts won't thrive without proper teachers." He sighed. "I should start with Charles Xavier... If mutants are here too, I need to understand what I'm dealing with."
His gaze turned back toward the castle. "Step one," Albus muttered, "Find the right teachers."
He glanced at the mission progress bar: 0%
"Right," Albus muttered. "First step… find Charles Xavier."
As he stood to leave, a faint whisper seemed to echo from the castle walls. A reminder, perhaps, that Hogwarts was waiting to be awakened once more.
