Sera's Pov
My breath came in sharp gasps, my limbs growing heavier with each passing minute. The blood from the battlefield was sticky on my skin, the dirt and sweat mixing with it, but I forced myself to push through. I couldn't afford to be tired. I couldn't afford to think about my exhaustion. Kael and Lisa were my priority, and I couldn't let anything stop me from making sure they were safe.
I'd already lost so much. I couldn't lose them too.
I pushed through the chaos, my Lunar Scythe slicing through enemies without hesitation, my body on autopilot as I moved through the battlefield. I had to reach the infirmary. I had to get to Kael. He was injured, and the thought of him being vulnerable out there—fighting with the same resolve that had always defined him—sent a jolt of fear through me. But at the same time, I couldn't deny it: Kael could handle himself. He wasn't helpless. Even injured, he was stronger than most.
