24: The Watcher in the Void (Kurotensei's POV)

Watcher in the Void (kurotensei's POV)

Kurotensei's POV – Watching the Love-Fools

Time was meaningless to a being like Kurotensei.

It had existed before stars burned, before mortals dared to name themselves gods, before creatures of flesh weaved their fates into the fragile tapestry of reality.

And yet—

For all the worlds Kurotensei had devoured, for all the souls it had unmade—these two were a sight most amusing.

Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke.

The twin flames of a dying era.

The fools who had defied time, death, and even their own hearts.

Kurotensei watched as the two tore through the abyss, fighting together in perfect synchrony.

A step—Naruto surged forward, his golden chakra a burning beacon in the void.

A breath—Sasuke followed, a shadow at his side, his blade flashing with precision.

Two sides of the same coin.

They had abandoned entire worlds for each other.

And yet—they still refused to speak of it.

Kurotensei could see it—woven into their very souls.

Uchiha Sasuke, who carried his longing in silence, hiding it behind sharp words and colder glares. He thought himself unreadable.

Foolish child.

Kurotensei had seen the way Sasuke's fingers twitched when Naruto fell out of reach, the way his gaze lingered too long, the way he tore through anything that threatened to take Naruto from him—always justifying it, always calling it something else.

"Hn. He's an idiot. He'll die without me."

Liar.

And Naruto—oh, Naruto.

Uzumaki Naruto, who shone too brightly, who loved too fiercely to ever understand subtlety.

He did not name his feelings, but they were there—in the way he always sought Sasuke first, in the way his world tilted when Sasuke was near, in the way his voice softened, even in the middle of battle—

"Tch. Bastard. Took you long enough."

Naruto's love was loud, but his mind was too clouded to recognize it for what it was.

Both were blind fools, drowning in something so obvious that even the void itself trembled with it.

And yet—despite their denials, despite their refusal to acknowledge the truth, one thing remained unshakable.

Kurotensei had shattered time itself. It had rewritten their fates, erased one from existence, severed the past from the present.

But it had not—could not—break them.

When one fell, the other was there to catch him. When one wavered, the other stood firm. When the abyss swallowed them whole, they clawed their way back—together.

Even now, as the forgotten Naruto screamed in defiance, as the void threatened to consume them, they fought with the same unspoken certainty.

Sasuke didn't need to call out. Naruto was already moving. Naruto didn't need to look back. He knew Sasuke would be there.

What a beautiful tragedy.

Two souls, bound tighter than destiny itself—yet refusing to see the love that tethered them.

The Amused Observer, Kurotensei chuckled, its voice rumbling through the abyss.

"Such foolish creatures you are."

Sasuke's eyes snapped to it, sharp as ever. "Tch. What the hell are you laughing at?"

Naruto, panting, jabbed a thumb at Sasuke. "Yeah, what he said. You got something to say, you freaky shadow bastard?"

Kurotensei tilted its head, amused beyond words.

"Just an observation, little flames."

It could end them here. It could crush their fragile mortal shells and scatter their existence into the void.

But what a waste that would be.

They were far too entertaining.

And Kurotensei, an eternal witness to the universe, wanted to see how far these love-fools would go before their flames finally collided.

"Very well." The void trembled. "Let us see if your trust is strong enough to defy time once more."

And with a wave of its hand—

The abyss swallowed them whole.
