A Date?!

Enrique looked away and answered succinctly, "I came to Korea for business." His response was brief and direct, leaving no room for further questions.

Mrs. Kim looked at him with a thoughtful expression, as if trying to read between the lines. Ji-Hyun, on the other hand, seemed relieved by the change of subject and turned to talk with Ji-Hoon.

The silence that followed was broken when Enrique stood up from his chair. "I think it's time for me to go," he said with a polite smile.

Mrs. Kim stood up as well and walked him to the door. "Please come back soon," she said warmly. "We would love to have you over again."

Enrique smiled and thanked her before leaving the house. Ji-Hyun followed him to the door and watched him leave, feeling a bit confused and intrigued by his behavior.

Ji-Hyun followed Enrique to the entrance of his apartment complex, which was just across from hers. She caught up to him and called out again.

"Enrique, wait!" she said, her voice slightly louder.

Enrique turned to her, surprised. "What is it, Ji-Hyun?" he asked gently.

Ji-Hyun looked at him with a serious expression. "I wanted to know... what you said about being a prince... were you serious?" she asked firmly.

Enrique smiled but didn't answer directly. "What do you think, Ji-Hyun?" he asked with an intriguing look.

Ji-Hyun frowned, confused. "I don't know… I didn't understand what you meant," she said, frustrated.

Enrique chuckled softly and stepped closer to her. "Maybe one day you will," he said with a mysterious smile.

And with that, Enrique bid Ji-Hyun farewell and entered his apartment, leaving her with more questions than answers.

Enrique closed the door behind him, leaned against it, and took a deep breath. He still couldn't believe the question Mrs. Kim had asked him today. "Why did you come to Korea?" The question had been so simple, yet something about the way Mrs. Kim had asked it had made him uncomfortable.

He opened his eyes and began pacing around his apartment, trying to process everything that had happened. He knew Mrs. Kim was an insightful woman, and he wondered if she had figured something out about him.

Meanwhile, Ji-Hyun stood outside her apartment, thinking about Enrique. She couldn't understand why he made

She sighed and entered her apartment, closing the door behind her. She knew she needed to forget about Enrique and focus on her own life. But she couldn't shake the feeling that Enrique was destined to be an important part of her life.

Night had fallen over the city, bringing with it a heavy rain that pounded against the windows and balconies of the apartment buildings. Feeling a bit bored, Ji-Hyun decided to step out onto the Kim family's balcony to watch the rain.

She walked over and looked outside, feeling the cold wind and raindrops on her face. She was lost in thought when she noticed that Enrique's balcony was right next to hers, separated only by a small wall.

She glanced over at Enrique's balcony and saw the shadow of someone sitting in the middle of the rain. Curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to investigate. She stepped closer to the dividing wall and peeked over.

What she saw took her by surprise. Enrique was sitting in the middle of the balcony, completely drenched by the heavy rain, staring at the sky with a cold, lifeless expression. He seemed utterly indifferent to the rain and wind, as if lost in his own world.

A chill ran down Ji-Hyun's spine as she watched Enrique like that. She didn't know what was going on with him, but she could tell that something was wrong.

Enrique began to have memories, as if the rain was bringing back forgotten moments from his past. He remembered being in the rain before—dirty, broken, and covered in blood. He had wandered aimlessly, empty and in unbearable pain, as if there was nothing left for him.

He remembered the words he had repeated in his head like a mantra of pain and anger.

"He betrayed me."

"He only loves them."

"He lied to me."

"I'm alone."

"I want to die."

The words echoed in his mind, like an unbreakable curse. But then, he remembered something else. He remembered how, in the middle of that hopeless road, he had stopped in front of a church.

The image of the church appeared in his mind, like a beacon of hope in the darkness. He recalled feeling drawn to it, as if it were a place of refuge and peace.

Enrique was completely lost in his thoughts, reliving painful moments from his past. But suddenly, he felt a light impact on his head. He turned around, trying to understand what had happened.

And then, he saw Ji-Hyun standing on the balcony next to him, a mischievous smile on her face.

"What was that?" Enrique asked, confused, as he walked closer to the wall separating their balconies.

"I threw a rock," Ji-Hyun answered with an innocent smile. "I wanted to get your attention."

Enrique looked at her, surprised. "Where did you even find a rock up here on the rooftop?" he asked curiously.

Ji-Hyun shrugged. "I found a little stone in my mom's flowerpot."

Enrique laughed despite himself. "You're a very creative girl," he said with a smile.

Enrique: "Now you have my full attention, Ji-Hyun. What do you want to do with it?"

Ji-Hyun: "I don't know... I just wanted to get your attention. You looked so lost in your thoughts."

Enrique: "I was. But now I'm here, with you. And I'm curious to see what you'll do next."

Ji-Hyun: "I... I don't know. You're making me feel a little nervous."

Enrique: "Nervous? Why? Are you not used to having someone's attention?"

Ji-Hyun: "No... It's just that you're different, Enrique. You make me feel... in a way I don't understand."

Enrique: "And you don't like that?"

Ji-Hyun: "I... I don't know. It's confusing. But I'd like to know more about you, Enrique. Who are you, really?"

Enrique smiled—a mysterious smile that only made Ji-Hyun more curious. "I'm someone who isn't easy to understand," he said in a low, soft voice. "But I can tell you this—I'm here now, with you, and I'm willing to show you who I am... if you're willing to see."

Ji-Hyun felt a shiver run down her spine at Enrique's words. She didn't know what he meant, but she knew she was eager to find out.

"I'm willing," she said firmly.

Enrique smiled again, and this time, Ji-Hyun saw something in his eyes that made her even more curious.

"Then let's begin," Enrique said in a low, smooth voice. "Let's start discovering who I am... and why I'm here."

With that, Enrique stood up and started walking toward his balcony, with Ji-Hyun following closely behind.

Ji-Hyun stared at Enrique, waiting eagerly for him to finish his sentence.

"I am..." he repeated, pausing dramatically before saying, "Batman."

Ji-Hyun's eyes widened in surprise before she burst into laughter. "Batman?" she repeated in disbelief. "You're Batman?"

Enrique smirked and made a dramatic hand gesture. "Yes, I am the protector of the night, the defender of justice, the—"

Ji-Hyun cut him off, still laughing. "Okay, okay, I get it. You're Batman. But why did you tell me that?"

Enrique smiled again and stepped closer to Ji-Hyun. "Because I wanted to see your reaction," he said in a low, smooth voice. "And because I think you're someone who can keep a secret."

Ji-Hyun looked at Enrique, intrigued. "What do you mean by that?" she asked.

Then, Enrique leaned in closer to Ji-Hyun and whispered, "I'm not just Batman. I have a secret much bigger than that."

"And I'll only tell you my secret... if you take me on a date," Enrique added with a playful smirk.

Ji-Hyun's eyes widened. "A date?" she repeated.

But before she could respond, her father appeared on the balcony. "Ji-Hyun, come inside now!" he said sternly.

Ji-Hyun turned to her father, then glanced back at Enrique. "Sorry, I..." she began.

But her father interrupted. "Ji-Hyun, inside. Now!" he repeated.

Ji-Hyun hesitated for a moment but then obeyed, stepping back into the apartment.

Mr. Kim turned to Enrique, his expression dark. "Stay away from my daughter," he warned.

Enrique gave a sarcastic wave. "Yes, of course, sir," he replied, before stepping back into his own apartment.

Mr. Kim muttered to himself, "I need to take care of him before he becomes a problem."
