Soren shifted slightly, his gaze steady as he looked between his parents.
"What about Izumi and Katsumi? Are they okay?"
Hana smiled reassuringly, though there was still lingering worry in her eyes.
"They're fine, sweetheart. Just a little shaken up, but no serious injuries. Their parents were beyond grateful to you."
Renji nodded.
"The villains are dead. No loose ends. No retaliation." His tone was calm, almost approving.
"You protected them."
Soren exhaled quietly, a small weight lifting from his chest.
"Good."
Renji turned toward the door.
"Doctor," he called, prompting a man in a white coat to step inside.
"I want to take my son home."
The doctor adjusted his glasses, glancing at Soren before nodding.
"That should be fine. His body shows no abnormalities, and his Quirk seems stable." He paused.
"However, before you leave, we'll need to register his Quirk in the system."
Renji smirked slightly, crossing his arms.
"Of course. Let's get it done."
Once everything was finished, they arrived home. The moment Soren stepped inside, he felt an odd tension in the air. His father's usual composed demeanor was still present, but there was a weight behind his gaze—something serious.
Renji closed the door behind them and turned to Soren. "Sit down, son. There's something I need to tell you."
Soren frowned, glancing at his mother, who stood nearby, arms crossed tightly over her chest. She looked… hesitant. Almost anxious.
"Renji, are you sure?" Hana asked softly.
"He's still so young…"
Renji nodded.
"He's not normal, Hana. We both saw what he did. It's time."
Soren's frown deepened as he sat down on the couch.
"What's going on? Why are you acting so weird?"
Renji inhaled deeply before speaking.
"Soren… I'm not like the other heroes you see on TV. My strength, my flight, my durability—they aren't from a Quirk."
Soren's breath hitched slightly, his mind racing. Not a Quirk? Then what…?
Renji's next words shattered everything he thought he knew.
"I am a Viltrumite."
Silence.
Soren stared at his father, trying to process the words.
"A… what?"
Renji's expression remained firm.
"A Viltrumite. I'm not from this world, Soren. I come from a warrior race that spans across the stars, a race of conquerors."
Soren's mind raced, his father's revelation echoing in his ears. 'Viltrumite.' The term was all too familiar, dredging up memories from his previous life—a life where he had avidly read the 'Invincible' comics. He remembered the Viltrumites as a powerful, imperialistic alien race, known for their superhuman abilities and ruthless conquest of planets.
'So, it's real?' he thought, a chill running down his spine.
'The Viltrum Empire, their quest for universal domination... and my father is one of them? So not only is this My hero Academia world but also invincible!?'
He looked at Renji, his voice trembling.
"You're... you're saying you're an alien conqueror?"
Renji's expression remained steady.
"I was sent here with a mission, Soren. But things changed when I met your mother and had you. Now, our priorities have shifted."
Soren's thoughts spiraled.
'If he's a Viltrumite, then that makes me...'
"Does that mean I'm like you?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Renji nodded.
"Yes, you have Viltrumite blood. And with it, their strengths—and their responsibilities."
'Does that mean...' Soren's heart pounded.
"What... what do we do now?" he asked, uncertainty lacing his words.
Renji's grip on his shoulder tightened slightly.
"Now, we prepare. The universe is vast, and our heritage carries weight. It's time you learned what it means to be a Viltrumite."
Soren hesitated before asking, his voice small but curious,
"So… does this mean we're gonna take over the planet?"
Renji glanced at Hana, as if seeking confirmation. She met his gaze, sighed, then gave a slow nod.
"Yes," Renji said firmly.
"That is the plan."
Soren's eyes widened, pretending to be more shocked than he actually was.
"W-We are?"
Renji smirked, crouching in front of him.
"Not we—you." Soren blinked.
"Me?" Renji nodded.
"This is your proving ground, Soren. The Viltrum Empire will want to see what you're capable of. If you can bring this world to its knees, you'll prove yourself worthy of your heritage."
Soren forced his face into an expression of innocent surprise, tilting his head.
"But… what about Mom?"
He turned to Hana, expecting hesitation or fear. Instead, she gave him a warm, almost resigned smile.
"As long as I have both of you," she said softly, brushing a hand through his hair.
"I don't care who rules the world."
Soren stared at her, feigning disbelief.
"You really don't care?" Hana chuckled, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead.
"You're my son. No matter what happens, I just want to stay with you." Renji smirked at that.
"You see, Soren? Even your mother understands."
Soren gulped, pretending to be nervous, but inside, his mind was whirling. They really expect me to conquer the world? He already knew about the Viltrumite way, but hearing it directly from his father made it feel more real.
Still, he wasn't about to reveal his true thoughts. Not yet.
Instead, he bit his lip, looking up at Renji with wide eyes.
"But… I don't know how to take over a planet…"
Renji chuckled.
"Don't worry, son. That's what training is for."
The next day, Soren went to meet with Izumi and Katsumi. He half-expected them to be afraid of him after what had happened, but the moment they saw him, they ran straight at him.
"Soren!" Izumi cried, throwing her arms around him.
"You idiot, don't scare us like that again!" Katsumi snapped, but she hugged him just as tightly.
Soren stiffened slightly before letting out a small chuckle.
"You guys aren't scared of me?"
Izumi pulled back, shaking her head.
"Of course not! You saved us!"
Katsumi smirked, nudging him.
"Yeah, you were pretty badass. I mean, I should've been the one to beat those losers up, but I guess you're not so bad."
Their parents approached soon after, bowing slightly in gratitude.
"Thank you, Soren," Mitsuki Bakugo said.
"If you hadn't been there… I don't even want to think about what would've happened."
Inko Midoriya nodded tearfully.
"We can never repay you for what you did."
Soren scratched the back of his head, putting on a childish grin.
"It's fine! We're friends, right?"
After a few more words of thanks, the two girls grabbed his hands, dragging him toward the playground.
"Come on, Soren! Let's play!"
As they laughed and ran around, Soren's mind wandered.
'They really aren't afraid of me. Even after seeing me kill those men like it was nothing… Interesting.'
He glanced at Izumi and Katsumi, watching them bicker and tease each other.
'They still see me as their friend, but I need to stop thinking like a human. A Viltrumite doesn't have friends—they have subordinates, warriors, and… women.'
His father had made it clear: he was expected to conquer. But Soren had no intention of being just another Viltrumite warrior.
'No, I'll be more than that. I'll take Thragg's position and become Grand Regent.'
He smirked to himself.
'And once I do, I'll fix the flaws in the empire. Instead of mindless conquest, there'll be a system, proper care for our people… And these two…'
He looked at Izumi and Katsumi again.
'They'll be mine.'
For now, though, he'd keep playing the part of an innocent child. No need to rush. Conquering a planet—and an empire—would take time.
As they played, Izumi and Katsumi couldn't contain their curiosity any longer.
"Soren! Your Quirk is so cool!" Izumi beamed. "Can you show us how you did it?"
"Yeah! You were flying and shooting lasers and stuff! That's way better than anything I've seen!" Katsumi added, practically bouncing with excitement.
Soren smirked.
"Alright, watch this."
He took a deep breath and pushed off the ground. Instantly, his body lifted effortlessly into the air. This time, it felt natural—almost like he was meant to do it. He floated a few feet above them, then ascended higher, his movements fluid and controlled.
From the sidelines, his father watched, arms crossed. When their eyes met, Renji gave him a nod of approval.
"Whoa!" Izumi gasped, her green eyes sparkling.
"That's amazing, Soren!"
Katsumi clenched her fists, grinning.
"Damn it, I wanna fly too! I bet my Quirk's gonna be even cooler than yours!"
Soren chuckled as he hovered back down.
"Guess we'll have to wait and see."
The two girls immediately started speculating about their future Quirks.
"I hope I get super strength like All Might!" Izumi said, bouncing excitedly.
"Then I can save people just like him!"
"Yeah, well, I want explosions!" Katsumi smirked, holding her hands out dramatically.
"I'll blast through villains like boom!" Soren listened, but his mind wandered.
'Izumi… she's going to be Quirkless.'
That thought made him pause. He knew, at least in his past life's knowledge, that she wouldn't develop a Quirk, which would crush her dreams of becoming a hero.
'Unless things are different this time…'
He glanced at her again, watching her gush about heroism. She had no idea what fate had in store for her.
[ A/N: I'm not sure if Izumi should get One for All or just give her own quirk. Feel free to tell me your thoughts. I'm more inclined to give her a quirk but not sure what. ]
Katsumi nudged him.
"What about you, Soren? You said you wanted to rule the world, right?"
Soren smirked, masking his deeper thoughts with playful arrogance.
"Of course! I'll be the strongest, and you two will be right there with me."
Izumi giggled.
"As heroes, right?"
Soren simply smiled.
'Sure… something like that.'
