Chapter 13: A Predator Among Prey

Crow stood at the outskirts of Novice Village, watching the flood of weak, clueless players running around. Most were still struggling to kill Level 1 rabbits, completely unaware that a true monster had just entered their midst.

But Crow had no intention of attracting attention.

With a flick of his hand, he commanded his Divine Nine-Tails Fox and Royal Guardian Bee to retreat into his soul space, a hidden realm where contracted beasts could rest while remaining connected to him.

For all anyone could see, he was just another beginner.

He smirked. Perfect.

Inside the Village

As Crow walked through the cobblestone streets, he listened in on the chatter of nearby players.

"Damn it! The boars outside are way too strong!"

"I heard someone already tamed a Rare beast!"

"No way, I bet it's just a rumor. No one's that lucky."

Crow scoffed.

If only they knew.

His Nine-Tails Fox alone could wipe this entire village off the map.

Ignoring the noise, he made his way toward the Tamer's Guild, a small stone building near the village center. He needed to check beast-related quests, buy better contracts, and—most importantly—gather information about potential space-related beasts.

Because while his hive was growing, and his fox was already a monstrosity, he wasn't done yet.

He was never done.
