Future Sight (1)

Recalling the student as the one he entangled with last time, Itsuki subconsciously thought, " What does he want from me? Is he here to settle scores with me? "

With the thought traversing him even slightly, Itsuki stood from his chair and uttered, confusing him, " Here you go, hurry up! "

?

Confused, the student asked, " What should I hurry up for? "

Gazing at him, he responded, " Aren't you here to settle scores with me due to last time? "

" What? " Confused even more, he emphasized, " Why would you think that? "

Responding honestly, he uttered, " If you're here because of what happened last time, then what can you want from me? "

Surprising him at that moment, he uttered, " You might not believe it, but I'm here to apologize to you. "

Shocked by his words, Itsuki reacted, " You're here to apologize to me? "

Nodding, he emphasized further, " Yes, I came to apologize, Ando. I was disrespectful to you and made fun of you when you didn't do anything bad to me. I sincerely apologize for my behavior. "

Even more taken aback, Itsuki looked on and after a moment of silence, he uttered, " I forgive you. "

Relieved to hear that, the student suddenly uttered, " My name is Felix Amamiya. Don't forget it! "

?

Running off of the student, Itsuki was left to wonder what truly happened a moment ago.

During lunch hour, Itsuki hurried so he would be the first to reach the rooftop, but unfortunately, he was stunned to see Akira already present on the scene.

Standing still, Itsuki didn't dare to move. Noticing it, Akira got even more suspicious of his friend whom he asked, " Ando, aren't you coming over? "

Silent, he wondered how he was going to walk despite the slight pain he was currently feeling in the foot. Finding his attitude to be even more suspicious, Akira asked sternly, " What is it, Ando? " He questioned before adding even further, " Are you feeling any sort of discomfort at the moment, or is it that you can't walk right now? "

Gazing at him with a piercing expression, he asked, " Which one is it, Ando? "

Taking it upon himself, Itsuki walked toward him. During the time he stepped forward to him, Akira observed him the whole way, but despite the pain, he indulged it and didn't give himself away, disappointing Akira in the process.

Sitting down beside him, Itsuki asked straightforwardly, " What's going on with you, Shirano? You've been staring at me and questioning me. Are you having doubts about me? "

Emphasizing directly to him, Akira stared at him without uttering a single word. Noticing the behavior, Itsuki emphasized even further, " If there's anything you'd like to know, ask away, Shirano! Don't keep things to yourself! "

Gazing at him at that specific moment, Akira asked, " Will you tell me the truth if I were to ask you? Will you be honest with me? "

" Yes, I'll be honest with you and answer you truthfully. "Itsuki acted out in the most natural way possible as he responded to Akira who grinned slightly before asking suddenly, " Did you rescue me from an ambush yesterday? "

Staring at him as he forwarded the question, Akira looked hopeful at Akira who after five seconds of deep silence uttered to him, " No, I'm sorry. "

" Are you certain of it? " He asked again and just like he did previously, Itsuki asserted to him, " Yes, I'm certain. Yesterday, I was at home and I don't recall going out. "

Still staring at him, Akira uttered, sadly, " It must have been my mistake then, sorry, Ando. I might have mistook you for someone else. "

Gazing at his sad expression, Itsuki asked truthfully, " Were you ambushed yesterday? "

Nodding, he admitted, " Yes, someone came to my aid the same way you did last time, so I thought it might have been you, Ando, but I see now that I was mistaken. Sorry for behaving so oddly with you. "

" No worries. Shall we eat? "

" Yes. "

While eating, Itsuki internally thought, " Sorry, Shirano, but for now it's best that you don't know it was me that day. Just like you want to keep your identity a secret, I want to keep myself out of trouble. "

Momentarily later, Akira departed first from the rooftop. Soon after, Itsuki stood and was about to leave.

" It's a good thing Shirano left beforehand, or else, I might not have been able to fake it for long. " He mumbled silently.

Treading on his steps, he walked out of the terrace and descended the stairs.

A shadow was suddenly perceived after he left.

During gymnastics, Itsuki sat it out. Felix Amamiya came to him at that moment and asked, " Are you sitting out P.E.? Are you not feeling well? "

Finding him a bother, Itsuki didn't respond to him and let him continue to speak. Listening to him for the entire P.E. period, Itsuki was more than glad when the session was brought to an end.

" He was a real pain. What's his deal? " He internally thought as he walked out of the gymnasium.

Two hours later, at the end of class, for some reason, Itsuki didn't spot Akira waiting for him as he would usually do and subconsciously wondered, " Why isn't Shirano here waiting for me as usual? "

Thinking the worst, he mumbled, " Did he get himself in trouble again? "

Unaware that someone was right behind him, he heard a voice suddenly asking, " Who got himself in trouble? "

!

Turning, he saw Felix Amamiya standing there. " It's you. What do you want? "

Taking out something from his pocket, he uttered, " I came to return your phone to you. You left it in the gymnasium. "

Realizing how he didn't have his phone with him, Itsuki uttered, nicely. " Thank you. "

Stepping up to get his phone from him, he missed a step and when he was about to fall, Felix caught his hand.

Gazing concernedly at him, he asked, " Are you alright, Ando? "

Instead of answering him, Itsuki gazed at him in horror. " Ando, you're not hurt, are you? "

It was only when he called out to him for the second time that Itsuki finally reacted back to him.

" Yes, I'm fine. " He uttered simply. Taking back his phone, he uttered additionally, " Thanks for returning my phone to me, Amamaiya. I need to go now. "

Turning back, Itsuki departed from the school premises. Mumbling silently, Felixed uttered, " Ando is a nice guy. How could I have avoided him before just because he was the quietest in the whole classroom? I hope we'll get to be friends one of these days. "

Later, Itsuki returned home from school. He was just about to announce himself when he noticed someone's shoes at the entrance.

Subconsciously wondering, he mumbled, " Did someone come to visit? "

When he was about to enter, the shoes caught his attention and as he looked at them closely, he gasped in shock, " These pairs of shoes, where have I seen them before? "

Recalling Akira having the same, he gasped and mumbled, " These shoes belong to Shirano, don't they? Does that mean Shirano is the one currently inside with my father? "

Taking off his shoes, Itsuki walked on tiptoes to confirm his suspicions. Almost reaching the living room, he heard voices.

" Ando was walking strangely today. Did he injure himself? "

!

Recognizing his friend's voice, Itsuki gasped and mumbled, " That's Shirano's voice for sure. I couldn't mistake it for anyone else's. "

Picking on the words he heard, he mumbled, " From what I could hear, Shirano saw me walking normally when I was leaving the rooftop earlier today. He also knows that I've been lying to him about my foot. Any moment now, he's going to find out the truth from my father, that is, if I don't do something to stop him. "

Meanwhile, in the living room, the conversation between Kiyoshi Ando and Akira Shirano had reached the culminating point.

" Tell me, Ando-San, did he injure his foot? " He questioned him with a piercing gaze to which the father hypothetically asked, " What makes you think he might have injured himself? "

" Because of the way he was walking. " He uttered before adding soon after, " Not only that, but I have every reason to believe that Ando lied to me about his whereabouts yesterday. "

Gazing at him, Itsuki's father was just about to give out the response intended for Akira when he heard something breaking.

" What was that? "

Following the noises, Itsuki's father was stunned to see his son on the ground.

" Itsuki? Son, are you alright? "

Rushing to his aide, he held him by the waist. Noticing Akira's presence, he faked for a second that he couldn't see him and looked down.

" Itsuki, what happened? How did you fall? "

Asking again, Itsuki uttered, faintly, " I didn't see where I was going and fell. Sorry, Dad, but I think my wound must have opened itself again. "

" Wound? "

Stunned by the words his son employed, he was even more stunned when he noticed blood dripping from his son's foot.

" Itsuki, what did you—------------? "

Cutting him halfway, he uttered, " Yesterday, I fell in the shower and today, I fell again. "

Looking very pitiful, he uttered, " I think I must be very clumsy. "

Looking at him with puppy eyes, he added, " I'm sorry, Dad. After all the trouble you went through to bandage me up last night, I made things even more difficult for you. "

The father was finding his son's attitude even more suspicious. Before he could react in any way possible, Akira came up to him and uttered out of the blue, " Enough of this act, Ando! I know everything you've been trying to hide from me! "
