The Triune Alchemy System

(T/N: Yo, CasualHotdog here, got sick yesterday [still wasn't feeling good today but my condition is better than before] so I wasn't able to upload the daily chapter. As compensation, here 4 chapters for today ( =①ω①=). Enjoy and have a great day!)

Shen Qin wore a bitter expression. "This is the situation right now. We're still missing a high-strength material and a high-density energy source. Sucrose and I have been stuck here for over ten days with no progress at all."

"Don't worry. Let me take a look at your previous alchemical products first," Albedo said calmly. "When I was still outside, I heard about the flying hoverboard and the bionic prosthetics, but I didn't understand their principles. Can you let me take a closer look?"

"Of course," Shen Qin and Sucrose brought all the blueprints and materials over to him.

Both of them were eagerly anticipating his help with the energy shield project. In their minds, Albedo was the true master of alchemy.

Sucrose had originally been studying alchemy as Albedo's assistant, while Shen Qin understood that his only advantage was access to advanced blueprints and technology. When it came to accumulated experience and vision, ten of him combined couldn't compare to Albedo.

What Shen Qin didn't know, however, was that Albedo was equally shocked as he looked through the blueprints and materials.

Just the terminal alone used alchemical techniques that were completely foreign to him. Well, not entirely foreign—when he tried to reverse-engineer the process from the results, he could somewhat connect it to the alchemy he had learned.

But when he saw the blueprints for the flying hoverboard and the bionic prosthetics, he was completely captivated. What was most impressive wasn't the specific technologies used, but the fact that they represented an entirely new, complete alchemical system.

Energy, structure, and intelligent systems—three functional modules combined to achieve an effect greater than the sum of their parts.

Although the skateboard and the prosthetics were completely different alchemical products, their alchemical systems were identical. All components could be divided into the three functional modules of energy, structure, and systems.

Even the terminal could be classified under this triune alchemical system.

The current alchemical system in Teyvat was developed from the incomplete system left behind after the fall of Khaenri'ah. But this alchemical system had completely broken free from Khaenri'ah's influence.

"Can you show me the blueprints for the energy shield?" Albedo asked.

"Of course!" Shen Qin's eyes lit up. He immediately handed over the relevant materials. After all, wasn't this exactly the help they were hoping for?

After briefly scanning the blueprints, Albedo understood. Indeed, the energy shield also adhered to the rules of the triune alchemical system.

"You're a genius," he praised Shen Qin.

Shen Qin was puzzled. Why was Albedo suddenly complimenting him out of nowhere?

Albedo didn't explain further and got straight to the point. "I roughly understand the situation now. I already have some ideas about the material issue. Perhaps we can start by building a prototype to test its energy consumption before considering the energy source."

"That's what we thought too, but we're stuck on the material step," Sucrose sighed. She wasn't particularly skilled in material research.

"No problem. Leave this issue to me," Albedo said, glancing around the alchemy workshop. "Can I use everything here?"

"Feel free. If there's not enough, I'll have more sent over," Shen Qin waved his hand dismissively.

With the profits from the flying hoverboard and bionic prosthetics, he was now one of the wealthiest people in Mondstadt. He no longer had to worry about the cost of materials during research and development. Gone were the days when he had to scavenge materials from Klee's alchemy workshop just to make a terminal.

Albedo checked the materials available in the workshop, wrote down a list of additional materials needed, and handed it to Shen Qin along with a formula for a synthetic material.

"Take this formula to Wagner at the blacksmith's shop and have him process a batch of synthetic materials according to the instructions."

Leaving Sucrose to assist Albedo, Shen Qin headed to the blacksmith's shop alone.

"Need something?" Wagner asked, using a tool to hold a metal blank in place with his left hand while his right hand swung a large hammer, striking it rhythmically.

Shen Qin knew Wagner's personality. When he was focused on forging, he didn't like to talk much and often communicated in the simplest terms.

"I need this," Shen Qin placed the formula next to him.

Wagner glanced at it and said, "I'm short two kilograms of magic crystal chunks. Bring them, and I'll start."

"Alright," Shen Qin turned to leave.

"Wait," Wagner suddenly called out to him. "Are you Shen Qin?"

"Yes, is there something else?"

"My apprentice, Griffith, lost his fingers in an accident two years ago. He just got a prosthetic hand a week ago. Thank you."

Shen Qin was taken aback but smiled. "You're welcome."

He had lost count of how many people had thanked him. Ever since the bionic prosthetics were introduced, whenever he walked through Mondstadt, someone would thank him, sometimes even handing him a bag of rice or flour. Sucrose had joked that every time he went out, it was like he was stocking up on supplies.

From feeling uneasy at first, he had now grown accustomed to it. After all, accepting their gratitude seemed to make them even happier.

His next destination was the Adventurers' Guild. Magic crystal chunks were rare, so he had to go through their channels.

"Ad Astra Abyssosque, welcome to the Adventurers' Guild!" Katheryne greeted him with a smile. "Mr. Shen, How can I assist you today?"

"Hello, Miss Katheryne. I'm here to post a commission. I need two kilograms of magic crystal chunks."

"We happen to have magic crystal chunks in our inventory. I'll arrange for someone to fetch them for you right away."

Shen Qin blinked. "That's quite a coincidence. That'll save me the time of waiting for an adventurer to complete the commission."

"Do you need any other materials?" Katheryne asked.

"Uh, could you check if the guild has these materials? If you do, it'll save me from running all over the city," Shen Qin handed her the list Albedo had written.

The materials used in alchemical research were quite varied—fruits, minerals, plants, metals, and more. Buying them always required visiting different shops, which was a hassle.

Katheryne glanced at the list and nodded. "We have all these materials. I'll have someone bring them over."

"Great, thank you. How much Mora do I need to pay?"

Katheryne smiled. "Mr. Shen, these materials are provided to you free of charge."

"What?" Shen Qin stopped reaching into his pocket for Mora.

"This is the Adventurers' Guild's way of thanking you!" Cyrus suddenly appeared beside them, smiling as he extended his hand. "Mr. Shen Qin, your bionic prosthetics have saved hundreds of disabled adventurers. I've wanted to thank you in person for a long time, but you always seemed busy. So I came up with this idea—whenever you come to the guild to commission materials, we'll provide them to you free of charge."

"I'll accept your gratitude," Shen Qin shook Cyrus's hand. "But these materials are too valuable. I'd still like to pay for them with Mora. After all, adventurers worked hard to bring them back from the wild."

"If adventurers knew you needed these materials, they'd be fighting to provide them, even at a loss," Cyrus said with emotion. "You might not understand what the bionic prosthetics mean to them. Every disabled adventurer has been given a new lease on life and regained their confidence in living and adventuring!"
