Pokémon: Breeding Simulator [36]

Thanks to the combined efforts of Elias and Mew, even with Dakrai as a powerful asset, Sird still couldn't escape her fate—she was captured alive.

"Mew, do you have any shame? After all these years of careful cultivation by Team Rocket? After all the time and effort I spent gathering information on you?"

Bound tightly with ropes, Sird lay on the ground like a defeated dog, her eyes locked onto Mew, full of resentment—almost as if she were a lover who had been heartlessly abandoned.

"Mew~ (Don't talk nonsense.)"

"Mew (You and I have nothing to do with each other.)"

Unbothered, Mew waved a tiny paw dismissively. Before Sird could say anything else, she sealed her mouth shut with psychic power.

With that taken care of, Mew gleefully floated over to Elias, who was busy sending a message to Lance.

The tension that had faded in his earlier anger returned, but this time, it was different… because now, Mew was certain—this was Elias.

His appearance had changed slightly, but his aura, his psychic power, and the waves of energy emanating from him left no doubt in Mew's mind.

She had already scrutinized Elias from every possible angle and could guarantee this was the real deal.

Not to mention, that Gengar was another strong piece of evidence.

Thinking of this, Mew glanced at the pudgy purple Pokémon standing warily off to the side.

Gengar wasn't on edge because he saw Mew as an enemy.

Quite the opposite. Thanks to Pokémon's heightened senses, he had already recognized Mew as the Eevee that used to be by Elias's side.

But still—

Gardevoir, big sister… our home has been stolen!

As a proud supporter of the Gardevoir x Elias ship, Gengar couldn't help feeling devastated.

He had just vowed to track down Gardevoir, and now this Eevee had already sniffed her way back first? How could this be!

Unaware of Gengar's inner turmoil, Elias put away his communicator as soon as he saw Mew flying over.

"Mew, thanks for your help."

Elias smiled warmly, pinching Mew's soft little cheeks with genuine gratitude.

If Mew hadn't been here, capturing Sird alive would have been an incredibly difficult task.

Mew~

Rather than push Elias away, Mew happily hugged his outstretched hand, rubbing her face against it in pure delight.

This long-lost feeling… it was something she had longed for all these years.

At first, she had let herself be captured by Elias out of sheer greed—for food.

But over time, his care and kindness had completely won her over.

For the first time, Mew had discovered something even more precious than freedom.

Feeling that the moment was right, Mew pulled back slightly after a long, affectionate rub.

Meeting Elias's puzzled gaze, her body suddenly began to glow faintly with white light.

Her limbs stretched, her figure became more graceful and curvaceous—

By the time the light faded, a radiant, soft-bodied, fair-skinned Shiny Gardevoir stood before Elias.

Around her neck, she wore a floral wreath, as if to prove her identity.

"Garde~"

Transformed into a Gardevoir, Mew extended a hand toward Elias—an invitation that didn't seem entirely wholesome.

Elias: …?

Gengar: …???!

Johto Region – Mahogany Gym

As she flipped through an ancient tome, Gardevoir's brow suddenly furrowed.

She had the distinct feeling that something… unpleasant was watching her.

She swept the entire gym with her psychic powers, but after confirming there was nothing unusual, she finally relaxed.

"Garde~"

Sitting back down, Gardevoir rubbed her temples.

Ever since her bracelet was stolen, her mental state had been deteriorating. More and more, she found herself reminiscing about the past—about Elias.

"Gardevoir, are you feeling unwell again?"

A brown-haired girl walked into the room, looking at Gardevoir with concern.

It was an older Blue.

After witnessing Gardevoir defeat Pryce back then, she had chosen to follow her of her own accord.

Hearing Blue's voice, Gardevoir waved a hand before turning to her, speaking through telepathy:

"Have you found the bracelet?"

It was the only thing she cared about besides bringing Elias back.

Blue shook her head.

"We've mobilized the entire Masked Army, combed through most of the surrounding cities, and even checked the underground black market—but there's no sign of anything like your bracelet."

"I suspect the thief has already left the Johto region."

Even as she spoke, Blue found it hard to believe.

She had personally witnessed Gardevoir's overwhelming strength and knew how terrifying she was.

And yet, a thief had managed to steal something right from under her nose?

Whoever it was… they might as well be Arceus.

"Expand the search."

"Kanto, Unova, Sinnoh, Kalos—turn every inch of them upside down if you have to. Find them."

Gardevoir wasn't surprised by the result.

Anyone capable of stealing from her wouldn't be caught so easily.

Unfortunately, her plan had reached a critical phase, meaning she couldn't personally go after the thief right now.

"Understood." Blue nodded lightly.

Then, as if remembering something, she added:

"Oh, right—Team Galactic sent word. Their agent inside Team Rocket has been exposed and captured by the League."

"And along with that, we've lost our intelligence source on Mew. We have no way of predicting what she'll do next."

At the mention of Mew, Gardevoir paused. A trace of disdain flickered in her eyes.

"Forget about that dumb cat. She's not a threat anymore." Gardevoir declared confidently.

"But… that captured agent, on the other hand, might be worth looking into. See if we can make contact and find out how they were caught."

She vaguely remembered that the agent had a fairly strong Darkrai.

If someone could still capture them under those circumstances… it meant the League wasn't as incompetent as they seemed.

To ensure her plan proceeded smoothly, Gardevoir needed to investigate.

"I understand."

After committing Gardevoir's orders to memory, Blue left the room.

Silence fell once more.

"Time to rest."

After a moment, Gardevoir murmured to herself with anticipation.

She walked to the corner of the room and pressed a hidden button on the wall.

A deep rumble echoed as the wall split down the middle and slowly slid open, revealing a clear glass chamber.

Inside was a small but well-contained space.

A Pokémon, its body colored in soft hues of pink and yellow, was trapped within.

As soon as it saw Gardevoir, it let out an enraged cry and lashed out with several [Psycho Cuts].

But before they could even touch the glass, Gardevoir's own psychic power crushed them into nothingness.

Her eyes glowed with a pale blue light as she extended a hand toward the Pokémon, smiling.

"Come now, Cresselia… let me dream a good dream."

"A dream… where Elias exists."
