Pokémon: Breeding Simulator [58] [40 PS]

"Wait, wait!"

Seeing that Milotic was still about to strike, the poacher frantically waved his hands in surrender.

Milotic turned slightly, glancing toward Elias.

But upon seeing his bloodshot eyes, unwavering in their silent rage, she felt reassured—

And swung her charged [Dragon Tail] without hesitation.

This time, Salamence barely managed to react.

It raised a claw glowing with emerald light, attempting to counter with [Dragon Claw].

Its eyes burned with fury—humiliated by the previous beating, it roared, determined to reclaim its lost pride with this strike.

However…

It, too, had forgotten Elias's presence.

Just as Salamence's claw slashed forward, it was abruptly halted mid-air by an invisible force.

[Psychic].

Its raised posture had only left it wide open for Milotic's attack.

BOOM!

A resounding impact echoed through the forest.

The armor-like plating on Salamence's chest shattered, a deep, jagged crack splitting through its shell.

Its massive body was sent hurtling backward, crashing through two trees before skidding across the ground for several meters.

The poacher stared at his Pokémon's battered form.

But in his eyes, there was no concern.

No sympathy.

Only fear.

Fear of the monster of a trainer standing before him.

"You… You just want Latias, right?"

"I'll give her to you, okay?"

"I don't want her anymore! Let me go, and she's yours! I'll even pay you! Consider it… compensation!"

The poacher backed away, hands raised in a desperate plea.

But deep down, he had already made up his mind—

If he survived this, the first thing he'd do was report this guy to Hunter J.

Not only would they take back Latias, but he'd make sure to capture all of this brat's Pokémon too—

Then sell them off for a fortune.

However…

Just as he was scheming his escape—

CRACK.

A sharp, crisp sound echoed in his ears.

Like the snap of a dry autumn leaf beneath a heavy boot.

He blinked, confused.

Why had he heard that sound?

Then he looked down—

And saw his once uninjured arm…

Now bent grotesquely backward at an unnatural angle.

A delayed surge of agony shot through his nerves, wrenching a piercing scream from his throat.

"AAAAAHHHHH!!!"

The poacher collapsed to his knees, his entire body trembling.

Why?

He had already offered a deal—

Why was this trainer still attacking him?

But one thing was clear—

This man had no intention of letting him go.

Through the haze of pain, the poacher looked up—

And met Elias's gaze.

There was no sympathy in those bloodshot eyes.

Only pure, unrelenting fury.

"You… You can just turn me in to Officer Jenny, right?"

The poacher's voice quivered as he spoke, barely managing to choke out the words.

Even as a criminal, he had never felt this kind of terror before.

Compared to falling into this guy's hands, he'd rather be arrested.

However—

Elias's lips curved into a gentle smile.

"Officer Jenny?" he echoed softly.

"You don't need someone like that."

The League's prisons weren't secure enough.

Even if this guy got locked up, there was always a chance he'd escape.

Especially with someone like Hunter J around—the so-called 'security' was worthless.

Unless the League was willing to station an Elite Four or even a Champion to guard a single poacher—

Which was never going to happen.

And Elias wasn't about to gamble on this scum escaping one day.

The best solution…

Was to bury him here, along with all traces of what happened to Latias.

The poacher's pupils dilated in horror.

He understood.

In an instant, he abandoned all thoughts of negotiation.

He tore open his jacket—

Revealing a chest rig lined with explosives.

In his hand, he clutched a detonator.

"Step back! One more move, and I'll press the button!"

"If I die, the bomb still goes off! Are you really willing to die over a single Pokémon?!"

As a poacher, he always had a last resort prepared.

A suicide vest was the best deterrent—

Because no law enforcement officer would risk their life to capture him.

And if anyone tried, he could flee into a crowded city—forcing them to hesitate.

Elias froze for a moment.

Clearly, he hadn't expected this level of insanity.

For the first time, he hesitated—his mind rapidly calculating the bomb's blast radius.

But before he could react, a weak voice echoed in his mind.

"Elias… Let him go."

It was Latias, speaking through telepathy.

She had been overwhelmed with joy when Elias came to rescue her.

She didn't want him to be in danger.

Besides…

Her identity was already exposed.

She no longer had the right to stay by Elias's side.

After this, she planned to return to the island—

And never set foot in human society again.

Elias's face, which had been dark with fury, softened slightly.

Clueless as ever, huh?

He let out a small, almost amused chuckle.

This stubborn fool was still so slow to understand things.

Turning his gaze back to the poacher, Elias noticed the arrogant glint returning to the man's eyes.

As if he believed Elias wouldn't dare touch him now.

But…

Elias's smile only grew—

A twisted, merciless smirk.

He had already confirmed that the bomb's blast radius wouldn't reach Latias or Milotic.

In that case…

The poacher's eyes widened in shock—

As a scalpel of pure psychic energy plunged directly into his heart.

"Ghhk…"

His mouth opened, as if to say something—

But blood spilled forth instead, silencing him forever.

BOOM!

An instant later, the explosives detonated, engulfing Elias in a blinding fireball.

"Elias!"

"Miu!"

From a distance, Latias and Milotic watched, eyes filled with shock and horror.

They hadn't expected this outcome at all.
