The Hogwarts Express

Teddy stared at the Hogwarts Express in awe. It was the biggest thing he had ever seen, dwarfing even the Lego train at Legoland.

"What are you thinking?" Harry's voice startled him from his reverie.

"Nothing," Teddy replied.

"I think you should get going. The whistle's about to blow," Harry said, gently pushing Teddy towards the train.

"Yes, I think so too," Teddy said, and began walking towards the train.

Teddy had difficulty finding a compartment. Finally, he spotted one with only a boy sitting inside. The boy sat hunched in the corner, his knees drawn up to his chest. His dark hair fell forward, obscuring most of his face, and what Teddy could see of his profile looked sharp and angular. He wore a plain, grey sweater, and his hands were clasped tightly together, almost as if he was holding himself back. He didn't look up when Teddy peered in, nor did he seem to notice him at all. An air of quiet intensity, almost unease, radiated from him, making Teddy hesitate before sliding the door open.

"Hi." Teddy turned to see a boy who looked around sixteen. He was tall and lanky, with a shock of sandy brown hair that constantly fell into his warm, hazel eyes. He wore glasses and the standard Hogwarts uniform, and he had a kind smile.

"Hello," Teddy said.

"Are you having trouble finding a compartment?" the boy asked.

"No, I just found one," Teddy said, pointing at the compartment.

"You shouldn't sit with him," the boy muttered, pulling Teddy into another compartment.

"And why is that?" Teddy asked.

"He's a dangerous boy," the boy said, sitting down.

"Who are you?" Teddy asked.

"I'm Leo Jordan, and I'm a Gryffindor prefect," Leo introduced himself. "Please, sit down," he added.

Teddy had been nervous from the start, but hearing that Leo was a Gryffindor prefect calmed him down, and he took a seat.

They started talking about Hogwarts. Teddy introduced himself after a while. Leo was shocked to hear about Teddy's parents and even more shocked to learn about Teddy's godfather. Leo's parents were Maya and Brody Jordan, and he mentioned that his uncle was Lee Jordan, who had been a student of Teddy's father.

Their conversation shifted from their parents to the Hogwarts teachers. Leo, a fifth-year, was still surprised to have been chosen as a prefect.

After some time, the lunch trolley arrived. Behind it stood a plump witch with a kind face and a warm smile. "Anything from the trolley, dears?" she asked, her voice as sweet as the Chocolate Frogs displayed prominently on the top shelf.

Leo, more experienced with the trolley's offerings, leaned forward. "Two Pumpkin Pasties, please," he said to the witch, "and a Chocolate Frog for my friend."

The witch smiled and handed Teddy his Chocolate Frog, its box promising a collectible wizard card inside. Teddy thanked her, his fingers itching to tear into the packaging.

"Anything else, dears?" the witch asked, her eyes twinkling.

Leo shook his head. "That's all for now, thank you."

Teddy eagerly opened his Chocolate Frog, hoping for a Dumbledore card, but he found a Harry Potter card instead.

They ate enthusiastically, and after a while, the train began to slow down.
