Chapter 30: Unexpected Harvest
"No way?" Yang Bo took a stroll around the area and found that these cows were the largest animals in the entire region. The tigers and leopards he had imagined were nowhere to be seen.
Upon closer inspection, the cows' shapes resembled elephants, and their horns were like steel forks, nearly a meter long and a meter wide.
They were also herd animals, like bulldozers—spiked bulldozers, in fact—and there were many of them.
"Sigh." Yang Bo looked around and saw no large animals, so he sighed and dragged the bodies of the dead cows into the underground cave.
"But I don't have much status, so I can't just buy the tissue culture of these cows." Yang Bo pondered as he worked.
At that moment, Yang Bo considered exploring the dangerous area, but his rational mind quickly dismissed the idea. His mecha was the worst, and if it were damaged, he might go bankrupt.
"No rush, no rush." Yang Bo reminded himself how little time he had been here and how much progress he had already made, urging himself to stay rational.
He threw the cow's corpse into a pre-selected location and waited.
For wild animals, the scent of food is hard to resist. The blood of eleven cows spread its scent throughout the underground space, attracting countless crawling creatures that rushed toward the food.
All kinds of creatures were present. Yang Bo waited quietly on the side. The location he had chosen was a narrow passage, but the passage was extremely high. Yang Bo was on a small platform above the passage.
The area was very quiet. Yang Bo had turned off the radar because, according to official reports, some mutated animals could detect radar signals.
Since he had already set up the bait, Yang Bo didn't care what kind of fish came—as long as it was a fish, it could enter his nest.
Yang Bo then activated the sound receiver. In this quiet underground space, the mecha's sound receiver could pick up the sounds emitted by the insects as they fought each other.
"This method of setting up the nest is still a bit costly," Yang Bo thought as he watched the time pass. It costs hundreds of credit points per hour.
After waiting for five hours, Yang Bo could hear the sounds of tearing food below, especially the sound of leather being torn, along with chewing sounds and other noises.
He took out two shockwave bombs, twisted them open, and threw one on each side of the lower passageway.
Boom!
Even with the mecha, the massive sound made Yang Bo feel uncomfortable, and the entire space shook. Of course, Yang Bo had already activated the radar.
Camouflage +1!
Camouflage +1!
Dynamic Vision +1!
The dense stream of information made Yang Bo's mouth break into a wide smile.
Looking at the lizard corpses on the ground, their bodies had been deformed by the massive shockwave. The narrow passageway had amplified the shockwave's intensity.
Inside the hundred-meter-long passage, there were countless lizard corpses. There were no reptiles, as they had all been eaten by the lizards.
"It's a pity humans can't come here; otherwise, there would be many ways to deal with them, like poisoning them."Yang Bo sighed. His methods could only be utilized to less than ten percent of their potential. Imagine igniting highly toxic chemicals several levels underground, creating a chimney effect in the underground world, with toxic smoke and gases capable of killing countless animals.
Yang Bo chuckled, placed a hydrogen bomb under a cow's corpse, set it for five hours, and returned to base.
As for whether it might blow up his own people? No, the mecha would indicate danger when approaching, and enemy-friendly identification was still in place.
Back at the base, looking at the maintenance costs, Yang Bo, though he had plenty of game currency, still felt the pinch. This was still the lowest-tier mecha; the higher the mecha tier, the higher the maintenance and upkeep costs.
"I should check out the trading center next time," Yang Bo mused to himself.
After logging out of the game, Yang Bo stepped outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, gazing at the clear blue sky. The airport always shone brightly in the sky, captivating like a massive diamond ring.
He silently recited the skill.

Entering the bathroom, Yang Bo looked at himself in the mirror. His facial muscles shifted rapidly, and even his bones underwent subtle changes. After a few minutes, a face that was both unfamiliar and familiar appeared in the mirror.
Yang Bo touched his face—this was his previous life's self.
"Bones can be fine-tuned. It seems this disguise skill can ultimately transform one into a complete stranger." Yang Bo carefully felt out the skill, continuously disguising himself as various people, even a woman's face.
Looking at the woman's face in the mirror, it was a female celebrity Yang Bo had liked in his previous life. He touched his face and felt an inexplicable urge to vomit.
"Disgusting." Yang Bo even suspected that with this skill, he could eventually transform into a woman.
Then Yang Bo hurried to sleep. Now he no longer consumed his own energy, as there was too much of it.
He had a nightmare while sleeping, dreaming that he had turned into a woman and was entering a bathhouse with other women...
He thought to himself, "I'm not that kind of perverted person, so why would I have such a nightmare?"
When he woke up, he had only slept for four hours.
Suddenly, a stream of information appeared in his mind.
Dynamic Vision +1!
Camouflage +1!
However, among the dense stream, there were some things that shouldn't be there.
Invisibility +32!
Invisibility +8!
Invisibility +4!
Yang Bo was a bit confused. Invisibility? So much invisibility? What kind of creature is this?
"Could it be a human? Someone from the mutant faction? +32? This is an A-class target!" Yang Bo quickly got up, logged into the game, bought a flight accessory, and rushed straight to the scene. Of course, he had to bring the hydrogen bomb.
The corridor was littered with corpses, and the passage was in complete disarray. A rat as large as a tiger, with silver fur, stood out prominently. In the distance, other rat corpses could be seen.
"Good stuff, let's go." Yang Bo grabbed the rat and ran. Why was Yang Bo running so fast? Because the bounty for an A-class creature was enormous.
Yang Bo pulled out a large bag and stuffed the silver rat's corpse inside. Killing contaminated creatures was like this—there were still clearly visible mutated rats the size of dogs among the ruins.
Yang Bo didn't have time to care. He grabbed the bag and rushed out of the underground space, flying directly back to the base to claim the reward.
