1. A Throne of Shadows
Jinwoo stared at the letter in his hands, the words burning into his mind.
"You killed the King. Now you must take his throne."
His grip tightened. Who sent this?
Seok-min was dead. The gangs were in chaos. The old order was shattered.
So who was left to issue such a challenge?
The weight of the city pressed down on him. He thought the war had ended the night he put a bullet through Seok-min's chest.
But war never ends. It only changes hands.
He exhaled slowly and folded the letter. This was a test. Someone wanted to see his next move.
Fine. Let's play.

2. The Wolves are Hungry
The underground was in anarchy.
With Seok-min's empire collapsing, the remaining gangs had turned Seoul into a battleground.
The White Serpents controlled the docks.
The Red Fang Syndicate took Itaewon.
The Iron Tigers were cutting deals with politicians.
And in the center of it all, whispers of a new king were spreading.
Jinwoo wasn't interested in ruling. But power doesn't wait for permission.
If he didn't take control, someone else would.
And that meant more innocent blood on the streets.

3. A Visit from the Past
Late at night, Jinwoo stood on the rooftop of a crumbling apartment complex. The city lights flickered like dying embers.
Then—
A familiar voice.
"You're in deep, aren't you?"
Jinwoo turned.
Hye-jin stood behind him, arms crossed.
She looked exhausted. Dark circles under her eyes. Hands shaking slightly.
She wasn't here as a friend. She was here as a cop.
Jinwoo smirked. "I thought we agreed you wouldn't play detective with me."
Hye-jin's jaw tightened. "You think this is a game? The whole city is on fire, Jinwoo. And everyone's looking at you for answers."
He shrugged. "Not my problem."
She stepped closer. "Isn't it?" Her voice softened. "This isn't just about you. It never was."
Jinwoo sighed. He turned back to the skyline. "I didn't start this war, Hye-jin."
"No. But you might be the only one who can end it."

4. The First Move
Jinwoo had always been a fighter, not a ruler.
But now, Seoul was watching. Waiting to see who would take control.
If he didn't act, someone worse would.
So he made a choice.
He sent a message to every gang leader in the city.
A single location. One meeting. One chance to negotiate.
The invitation was simple:
"Come unarmed. Or don't come at all."
The city held its breath.
Because when the wolves gather—
Only the strongest will walk away.
