Jinwoo staggered back, gripping his bleeding arm.

Kang Dae-jung didn't press the attack.

He stood there, tilting his head, a slow grin stretching across his scarred face.

"It's been a long time, Jinwoo," he said.

His voice was the same as before. Low. Amused. Deadly.

"Should be," he mused. "And yet… here I am."

Minji and Hyun-seok were still pinned down by gunfire, but Jinwoo barely registered it.

But before he could pull the trigger, Dae-jung whispered:

"You thought you killed me. Thought you wiped me out. But there's something you never questioned."

"What the hell are you talking about?"
