Marius Vex stood in an underground chamber, waiting.
Shade entered, alone.
No guns. No army.
Just him.
Marius smirked. "Ah. The infamous Shade."
Shade rolled his shoulders. "You're the last one."
Marius chuckled. "And you've been such a good soldier, cleaning up my enemies for me."
Shade's jaw tightened. "I didn't do this for you."
Marius tilted his head. "Didn't you? You tore through them all. Killed them with zero hesitation. And now? Now you're the last one standing."
Shade froze.
Because Marius wasn't wrong.
He had become the executioner.
The monster.
Marius stepped closer, smiling. "So tell me, Shade—"
His voice was a whisper.
"Who kills you?"
