First Beat Big Mom, Then Beat Kaido
The Cake Castle's rooftop was now a battleground.
Inside a tiny ice hut, nicknamed the Small Igloo, it was getting crowded. Uta was already passed out from the sheer force of Conqueror's Haki. But Yamato, Morgans and Stussy were wide awake, crammed into the small space.
All three were glued to a crack in the wall, their eyes wide with disbelief. They were secretly watching.
"To take on two of the Four Emperors one after the other… this Black Hair is truly a monster!" Morgans exclaimed.
His Den Den Mushi camera clicked and whirred, capturing every moment. He knew these photos would shake the world.
Before today, people just thought of Black Hair as strong. He'd beaten Doflamingo, a powerful Warlord, and was set to marry a Celestial Dragon.
But that was it.
He wasn't considered in the same league as an Admiral or a Four Emperor.
Nobody knew he had a Logia-type Rumble-Rumble Fruit, or that he possessed the power to go head-to-head with a Four Emperor!
Stussy was just as stunned as the overly excited Morgans. Now she understood why Roya was worthy of marrying into the Celestial Dragons.
These alliances required equal value.
A powerhouse like a Four Emperor was worth as much, or even more, than a Celestial Dragon's status and Shalria's happiness.
The real question now, though, is whether Black Hair can actually beat Kaido.
Yamato looked worried and unhappy.
"Damn it, Roya's going to get hurt!" she muttered.
"Hmm?" Morgans and Stussy turned to her, surprised.
In their eyes, Roya had actually wounded Kaido in their first clash, gaining the upper hand. They looked like they were evenly matched.
But outsiders saw the spectacle, while experts saw the details.
Morgans and Stussy were strong, but not strong enough to grasp the subtleties of the fight. They could only judge what they saw on the surface.
Yamato, on the other hand, felt everything.
Roya was just as strong as Aunt Linlin and her father, Kaido. He even seemed to have an advantage against Big Mom because her powers were weak against his lightning.
But Kaido was different!
Kaido was seemingly invincible, with no weaknesses. His abilities were just as potent as Roya's lightning, and his mastery of all three types of Haki completely overwhelmed Roya.
How can he possibly win?
Yamato knew her father's strength. She had a deep understanding, gained from years of being beaten since childhood.
"Wororororo!" Kaido roared.
He was now in his Dragon-Human form. He was bigger, faster, stronger, and his defense had increased dramatically.
He was going all out!
"Let's fight to our heart's content, Black Hair brat!" Kaido laughed, blasting forward and appearing in front of Roya in an instant. His spiked club, the Wolf Fang Club, came crashing down, threatening to crush Roya.
"Shave * Afterimage!"
Roya vanished, leaving behind a lightning clone.
The Wolf Fang Club struck the clone, which instantly exploded into lightning, engulfing Kaido.
"Boom!"
The Wolf Fang Club crashed into the ground, sending a cloud of dust billowing into the sky!
"Zzzt... Zzzt..."
Kaido emerged from the dust, electric arcs flickering across his body. He seemed unfazed.
A little electricity wasn't going to stop him.
Besides, he could also control lightning!
Roya reappeared a few dozen meters away, frowning as he looked at Kaido. The voltage from his attack was too low to hurt Kaido, but gathering enough voltage took time.

With a deafening thud, Roya crashed into the castle wall. Before he could slide down, Kaido was there again.
"Thunder Bagua!!!"
It was the same move, but with incredible power and speed!
Roya held his long sword in front of him. Even with his super-fast reflexes, he couldn't fully evade the attack.
"Clang!"
The Wolf Fang Club slammed into the blade, sending sparks flying. It then slammed down on the blade, striking Roya's body!
"Crack!"
The castle behind Roya shattered and collapsed. He was sent flying, a streak of light tearing through the rubble, and crashed into the forest on the west side of the island.
"Boom!!!"
A blinding explosion erupted into the sky!
At the center of the blast, in a giant, sunken crater, Roya struggled to his feet, spitting blood and broken teeth onto the ground.
"Damn monster!"
He'd gone from easily defeating Big Mom to being completely overwhelmed.
Kaido was incredibly fast, and every time Roya moved, Kaido seemed to anticipate his movements. It was impossible to defend.
The giant Azure Dragon flew overhead, its mouth open, gathering fiery energy.
"Heat Breath!"
Two blasts of Heat Breath collided in the sky, exploding like fireworks!
"Boom!!!"
Flames rained down, setting the entire forest ablaze. The Homies in the forest cried out for help.
But nobody cared.
A pink dragon, identical in shape to the Azure Dragon but with pink skin and scales, soared into the sky, confronting the Azure Dragon.
On the pink dragon's head stood a slender figure.
"A dragon?"
Kaido was shocked when he saw the pink dragon, but he quickly recovered and roared.
"Is that a replica from Vegapunk?!"
"That's right."
Roya stood on the dragon's head, focusing his mind.
Little Pink roared and charged at Kaido, opening its mouth and biting Kaido's body.
"Oooow!!!"
Kaido howled in pain, looking back at Little Pink biting him with icy hatred in his eyes.
One dragon was enough!
"What are you doing? You're a fake!"
"Awoo?"
Little Pink trembled, losing its nerve.
"Hey, don't bully my beloved blade!"
Roya jumped onto the Azure Dragon, running across its back. He reached the Azure Dragon's head in a flash, raising his fists high.
"Crack!"
Lightning crackled around him, gathering on Roya's raised fist!
"Hmm?"
The Azure Dragon's eyes widened, seeing the flashing lightning fist coming straight at him!
"Thunder God's Hammer!"
"Bang!!!"
The powerful fist slammed into the Azure Dragon's brain!
"Pfft!"
The Azure Dragon's eyes rolled back, its tongue lolled out, and its huge body fell straight to the ground!
"Rumble!!!"
The entire island shook violently.
Roya stood in the sky, breathing heavily.
He knew that this attack was just a tickle to Kaido. If he wanted to defeat him, he needed more power!
He needed a stronger attack!
